Going the Extra Mile in True Go Ape Spirit
Here at Go Ape HQ, even getting out of bed in sub zero temperatures is a struggle. Luckily our team at Bracknell don’t mind a bit of hard work at minus 10 degrees.
Lots of snow and ice made for testing Go Ape conditions, but in true Go Ape spirit the team made sure their adventure was good to go and held the first corporate event of the new 2012 season on Friday 10th February.
A tribe of 50 Gorillas arrived in the morning to a (much needed!) hot beverage provided by us. They enjoyed the views of a snowy forest floor from the tree tops in the morning – it’s not often you get to appreciate such a view and I’d definitely recommend it (as long as you have plenty of layers on)!
After refuelling at lunch with one of our Gorilla Grill BBQs (under outdoor heaters – who said BBQs can’t be enjoyed in the snow…!), our hardy bunch of Gorillas headed out and hit our epic segway trails, cleared of the snow and ice; Trust us, a unique adventure in the snow on two wheels.
The group had a tree-mendous day despite the chilly weather, and showed true Go Ape Spirit enjoying their adventure in the snow at Swinley Forest, Bracknell.
‘Oo Oo Ah Ah’ and a big well done to all our adventures that opened their forest doors this weekend.
