Getting Out and Going Ape
We come from different parts of the country and different backgrounds, but all our staff at Monkey HQ share one common trait – they can’t stop dreaming about their next adventure.
A few weeks ago our local energy supplier wrote to us with the news that Hargrave would be without power on Wednesday 28 March 2012. Not to be deterred our MD Jerome, and the biggest chimp to boot, decided to treat the Tribe to a day out at our latest tree-top adventure in Trent Park, London. The Hargravians began beating their chests with excitement.
Go Ape is an all weather activity…so come wind, rain or shine we knew we’d have fun swinging through the tree-tops. Mother Nature was clearly on our side as the warm reception we received from our Course Manager Pete and his Trent Park Tribe was accompanied by the glorious sunshine that shone upon the Capital.
We’re not the only ones that have been out enjoying adventures. Our staff at sites have recently been out and about trying out a different Go Ape in another neck of the woods. Staff from Black Park and Bracknell headed to the big smoke on Tuesday 8th May to sample Trent Park’s new adventure.
For most it was their day off and they were still to be found swinging in the trees. I guess they’re just in touch with their inner Monkey…
It’s great for the teams to get out and about and remember just what it’s like to spend the day ‘monkeying around‘ with friends.
One thing is for sure. It reminded me why I love Go Ape.
Living life adventurously is much more fun.
