Bit tame for my ten yr old, more suited to 6 year old I thought. My kids have done something similar in Lake District, soo much more fun they said. Zip wire too slow they told me. Bit too safe for them. Might consider the adult one once the ten yr old tall enough but certainly not rushing back to Black Park. Felt crowded too, tree top junior not a big enough course to space the kids out when busy.

Being able to do a family activity that both children and grown ups did equally enjoy. Children many times leading the grown ups and having fun together.

It might be an idea to hand out safety helmets for the children participating in this experience. I had booked for a group of children between 6-9 years of age. It was my son's birthday and everybody was very excited. In the safety briefing the kids were told not to swing their metal clasp of the harness as they might hit the person standing in front of them because the safety line is at head level. Unfortunately that's exactly what happened! My 8 year old daughter was following the course in front of some rowdy children who happened to be unsupervised as their parents were chatting and not watching them. The girl kept swinging the clasp forwards and backwards until finally my daughter got whacked full blown in the head!! We then had a distraught daughter who had to complete two platforms in tears as there isn't a possibility to leave the course when injured.

We had my sons 8th birthday party yesterday for 12 children they boys had a whale of a time including my just 6 year old son, the only criticism I had was my daughter and her friends who were age 10 got stuck behind a very slow and nervous boy, it took them at least 30 minutes to get round, during which tie. They go cold and bored hanging around a course which would normall take no more than 10 minutes, I just felt they didn't get the full experience and when we asked one of the go ape workers if we could have an extension to our time they were not accommodating. Other than that a very good experience.

I booked for my son's 7th birthday party - he went with four friends. They all had a brilliant time - whether they were new to it or had done Go Ape before. many thanks to the Black Park team!
