Near Buxton

One of our highest adventures, close to a 2 million year old natural limestone cave.

Our Buxton Tree Top Adventure is set in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park and within walking distance of the historic Spa town itself. One of the best days out in Derbyshire, you’ll enjoy high ropes, a zip wire and much much more.

The Go Ape experience involves fun and adventure across up to six sites. Each site features our award winning high ropes, awesome crossings, tunnels, bridges and an epic wind-in-your-face zip wire to finish.

If you fancy yourself as a bit of an explorer, you could also visit the adjacent Poole’s Cavern, a 2 million year old, natural limestone cave. Now that’s ancient. There’s some epic activities in the beautiful Derbyshire and Go Ape is one of them.

Feedback from Buxton

Take a look at what some of our tribe have said about their time in the forest. It’s always good to hear it straight from the Gorilla’s mouth (…and we’re proud to say it’s totally unedited!) And why not have a peek at what people are saying about us on Trip Advisor.

The zip wires and the Tarzan swings are the best bits! I would suggest for people that haven't been to go ape before to go to the sites that aren't as high first such as Sherwood Pines, then work your way around to the higher ones. Me and my partner went to Buxton first which was amazing as it was high up then went to Sherwood pines which isn't a high so in our opinion it wasn't as much as thrill. This is a great team building activity and is fun with friends and family! We plan to go to Rivington next!

Had some difficulty booking online with my vouchers due to a fault with the website at the time, but spoke to a very helpful lady on the phone who sorted it for me with no problems. The course itself was fantastic, there were challenging bits and easier bits and some scary bits but there were options for easier routes if you wanted them and it was all so much fun. We're already planning our next adventure!

We enjoyed our visit up until we reached the final section of the course and had to wait over an hour to begin the section. In the shade of the forest it was extremely cold, and we quickly became bored. A party within our group even left before completing the section as the wait was too long. I appreciate you cannot plan for some taking longer than others but at this point it just appeared there were too many on the course taking too long. It was a shame as we enjoyed the rest of the course, but after waiting this long just wanted to finish as quickly as possible.

I really enjoyed the whole day, especially the Zip wire and thought the increasing height throughout the course was excellent. I thought the staff were helpful and friendly too. Will definatley be back again.
