Times will vary on daylight hours… some adventures even open at 08:00 in the summer for those early birds!

Below is a snapshot of when our forest doors open.

We're open from February to November, but we close our forest doors during December and January (...it gets a little chilly and we like to maintain our adventures so they're all ready to go in 2012).

24th March – 30th October daily.

Closed Wednesday (during term time).

Weekends only throughout November.

Located off the A93, 5 miles east of Banchory. Follow brown signs for Crathes Castle.

By train

Stagecoach Bluebird bus numbers 201, 202 and 203 from Aberdeen bus station stop at the entrance to Crathes Estate.

Favourite bit is the zip wires and the big Tarzan jump. As I've visited Crathes twice I'd like to visit a different one next time. Everyone in our party had a fab time. One member was even scared of heights but managed all of it!

I found quite a few of the safety wires too low down on the adventures, being 6ft 4" was a particular problem but I understand you need to cater for quite a few heights. Didnt feel the adventure was high enough up the trees either, would really like some higher adventure :-) Overall the course was fantastic and my son thoroughly enjoyed his visit.

The zip lines are great fun. The tarzan swings are the most scary.

The whole experience was great, really friendly staff and an excellent safety brief. I felt that we were left to enjoy ourselves but was always aware that we were not abandoned by the staff, they were very discreet but kept our total safety in mind. A very professional product with excellent staff. The setting at Crathes is beautiful and the cafe/restaurant is a real bonus after the activities. Will be booking again in 2012 and would consider this an excellent staff team building day out for business use too.
