My boys had been going on at me for a long time about "Going Ape" but my fear of heights didn't make me rush to take part. So in my madness I decided to treat them. They didn't know they were coming to Crathes Castle to "Go Ape" I had them totally convinced (my brother and nephew played along with me) that they were going flower picking!!! I am really quite mad anyway so they actually believed I would make them do that. It was a picture to see their faces when they realised what they were going to be doing (that was walking through the doors that it clicked to them). I managed up the first rope ladder looking straight ahead at the tree then totally freaked out a what came next. Luckily your lovely instructor (too nervous to remember her name) talked me through the whole process and convinced me that I could do it. And I did!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally surprised myself and my boys!!!!!!!!! Had a wonderful day, glad I came. I can now tick this off my bucket list. Which means that I have to go off the high chute at the waterpark this year on holiday !!!!! Oh No!!

Fun, enjoyable experience. Went late afternoon (3.30pm) so only criticism was that, although we were told that we could go round the course again the ladders had been removed (though I am sure if we asked this would have been addressed). However, we did have a great afternoon and would definitely try again.

The scarier the better of me! The Tarzan swing always makes me pause and count to ten. Terrifying and brilliant at the same time!
