By car

Woburn Safari Park is approximately one hour's drive from London, Oxford, Cambridge and Birmingham. Go Ape is situated within the Safari Park in the Leisure Area adjacent to the Australian Walkabout and Monkey Business.
Once entering the Park please follow directions for Go Ape and the Safari Lodge where visitor parking is available free of charge. Please allow a little extra time in your journey to make your way to Go Ape through the Safari Park, especially at weekends and bank holidays.

We recommend allowing 30 minutes to get through the Safari Park in order to arrive on time at the Go Ape cabin - it's a bit of a way.

Lockers are available but don't forget to bring a few pennies.

By train

A vehicle is needed once arriving at the Safari Park to reach the Go Ape course so public transport is not recommended.

Take a look at what some of our tribe have said about their time in the forest. It’s always good to hear it straight from the Gorilla’s mouth (…and we’re proud to say it’s totally unedited!)

Went with my husband and two daughters aged 12 and 10. The 12yr old was a bit nervous when we first arrived and went through the safety instructions. By the first zip wire so was ready to take on what ever lay in front of us. My 10 yr old throughly enjoyed ever minute of it! Have to say it was the best day out we have had in years and worth every penny. We worked together as a family to get through it. My husband and I were both exhausted by the end of it. The photos we took say it all, as everyone of them shows a happy smiling face. The first thing our girls asked us when we got back to the car was when can we go again???? The instructor Albert was very helpful and informative, making sure that our adventure was safe and fun. Can not fault any of the staff there as they were all very helpful. We will definitely be booking to go again!

I was talked into the experience by my 13 year old son who had his first experience at Thetford Forest for his birthday treat. I was very apprehensive and it seemed not a bad idea sitting in front of my laptop. Please bear in mind I'm slight afraid of heights but thought it would help conquer my fear.I completed the course at a very slow snail pace but completed it. And if I say so myself I was damn proud, as was my son. We had a great time together and it was a great role reversal with him looking after me and making sure I was safe at all times. He was amazing.I will say that it may not be something I would like to do again but it was a great challenge and has strengthened my bond with my lad.

It was a great activity for a mixed teenage group and parents, challenging enough for the older boys. An excellent memory maker. Personally I nearly wimped out on the first section but as I had to keep going it prepares you for the next stage, so even a fear of heights doesn't disqualify you from doing it. Would definitely consider doing it again in the same or another venue.
