Brits Waste 800 Million On Unwanted Gifts

Brits are due to waste upwards of £800million this Christmas on presents that are unwelcomed, unconsidered and unsurprising according to new research by us here at Go Ape.

As we look to spend a minimum of £103.65 per person on gifts this Christmas, our report has identified that we could be wasting up to 12 percent of this as we don't think hard enough about the gifts that we choose. Over half (55%) of parents admitted that they found it difficult to find presents that would engage children past the Christmas holidays let alone their partners!

To combat this Christmas present dilemma, and to prevent the 'fake happy' reactions we all hate to see, we've launched Experience Gift Vouchers which can be used at any of their UK locations and are valid for a year. Go Ape vouchers can either be sent in the post (in a rather lovely wallet) or our digital monkeys can send them across via email.

Rebecca Mayhew, Mum of three and co-founder of Go Ape commented on the research:

"We wanted to find out what makes for a great Christmas gift and how we might keep this Christmas full of fun and adventure. To combat bad gift choices, we have launched a range of Gift Vouchers suitable for your family and your primates. If you're looking for something trilling and unique to give this festive season then give the gift of adventure. Something memorable. Something that's lots and lots of fun. Forget socks and pants. Gift memories, not things.

So give a Go Ape Gift Voucher this Christmas to make sure you give a gift that is fun, memorable, thrilling and perfect for everyone!
