Due to an incident at our Bracknell site on Saturday 22nd May, which regrettably resulted in a participant being hurt, our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses at Bracknell are temporarily closed.
Whilst investigations are not yet concluded, we are leaning towards a product failure as the cause and we have shared this information with the manufacturer. The system, designed by one of the world’s leading rope course manufacturers, has been used safely over 2.5million times at 25 Go Ape sites in the UK since 2011.
We have identified an immediate safety fix, the introduction of an additional safety line to act as an independent secondary back up, which ensures that the same problem cannot happen again. This is now operational at all of our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses.
All of our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses are open, except for those at Bracknell, which remain closed until the investigation is finalised.
