Bracknell, Swinley Forest
There’s lots of fun to be had at Go Ape Bracknell at Swinley Forest. With five adventures to choose between – Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure and Treetop Adventure Plus as well as Forest Segway and Axe Throwing.
We've got all views of the forest covered from ground level to tree level. Climb your way around Swinley Forest on the Challenge course & be prepared for 2-3 hours of tree-to-tree obstacles designed to get the adrenaline pumping and the heart thumping.
Children can take their first steps into the canopy on our Treetop Adventure course complete with a Treetop Adventure Plus extension for older children to really test their limits.
Prefer your fun on the forest floor? Book a Forest Segway or axe throwing experience for a unique hour spent cruising through the trees, or flinging axes at the bull's-eye. There's nothing quite like it.

Go Ape Bracknell is conveniently tucked amongst Reading, Farnborough, Maidenhead and Slough. It’s the perfect antidote to busy living – a calm oasis for families to retreat to.
Swinley Forest stretches over 2,600 acres of gentle hills from Bracknell to Crowthorne. It’s a lovely place to explore on foot and is well-known for its superb mountain bike trails. Another claim to fame is that parts of the Harry Potter films were filmed in the forest.
There’s a 15-mile cycle network offering Green (beginner), Blue (intermediate) and Red (advanced) trails, so something for the two-wheel adventurers and family riders too.
Bring your own bikes or you can hire from the Swinley Bike Hub.
Children can launch a hydrogen rocket, play with boats in the indoor stream or build a house with our friends in The Look Out Discovery Centre.
There is also a play area which is split into three parts – an inclusive area, infant play area and junior play area.
You can grab a drink and snack from the Coffee Shop and there are also lots of tables and benches surrounding the play area, if you’d rather bring a picnic!

- Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
- Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.
- Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

- Check out the Swinley Forest bike trails. Bring or rent bikes.
- Dogs are welcome if you want to bring your four-legged friend.
- Grab a bite to eat or a drink at the Coffee Shop.
- Enjoy a spot of retail therapy at the newly built Lexicon Bracknell - also home to a 12-screen cinema.
- Explore the Look Out Discovery centre, or Coral Reef Waterworld is just over the road.
