The first Tree Top Adventure to be set in the grounds of a magnificent country house hotel, our outdoor adventure is nestled within one of the UK’s most un-spoilt areas of natural beauty. And you will get to appreciate it all from the forest canopy.

Lap up some of the finest scenery in Matfen’s 300 acres of historic parkland and enjoy a tree-mendous day out.

Times will vary on daylight hours…some adventures even open at 08:00 in the summer for those early birds!

 

Below is a snapshot of when our forest doors open…

We're open from February to November, but we close our forest doors during December and January (...it gets a little chilly and we like to maintain our adventures so they're all ready to go in 2012).

Saturdays in February and March

23rd March – 30th October daily.

Closed Tuesday and Wednesday (during term time).

We'll also be open Friday evenings in the summer from 8th June to 20th July.

Weekends only throughout November.

By car

From the Stagshaw roundabout on the A68 or Heddon-on-the Wall off the A69, take the Military Road (B6318)  east from Stagshaw and west from Heddon, before turning off towards Matfen - look out for brown signs for Matfen Hall.  We are with the Par 3 golf course and Driving Range, just south of the Hall.

Due to the rural nature of our locations, postcodes are not always accurate when using sat-nav directions. Please always cross reference with a map.

Was a great day out! Intructors were brilliant, really helpful and great fun. We all felt like we were in good hands. Overall a fantastic day for my birthday.

Excellent day out, brilliant course, great laugh. Instructors very friendly although I felt the instructor at our safety brief went a bit quick and mumbled a little but that's being picky.
