I liked the zip wire because i can fly through the air like a money with wings!

My son was really looking forward to this experience but the lack of instruction and direction was very poor. My son is very shy and this did not help his confidence one bit. Once the safety equipment was on they sent him up the steps whereby there was no one up there to point him in the right direction. After we asked someone on the ground to help they had to radio someone to go to there station. The man then told my son which way but he was already becoming unsure because of the time it took for this response. Upon going round the 1st course he was then at the beginning of the zip wire with yet again no one to explain what to do next. This unsettled my son even more. Eventually he went down the zip wire. He then became very upset as did not know what to do at the end of the zip wire. Yet again there was no one there for guidance and we had to go running down to help him and erasure he was doing well. We ourselves did bit know what to do but all we could hear was the man at the beginning of the zip wire shouting something which we could not hear. My son then thought he was being shouted at. He did then to round the first loop again but this time we made sure they did not put him down the zip wire as he was upset about what had happened. By this point he had had enough. Basically my son spent about 20mins on the equipment and probably 10 mins of this was spent wondering what to do. My son is a very confident person with heights but this experience has really knocked his confidence. Definitely disappointed overall and an expensive price to pay for such an appalling experience.

It was my first time seeing the junior course, and I was very impressed with the single clip system as I ahd been slightly concerned about that aspect of the course.

Overall great experience. Our 6 year old twins were obsessed with Go Ape as soon as they first tried it. They showed no fear trying all the elements available, partly due to the fact they were reassured by the staff about how safe they were (harnesses etc). They even remembered the name of one instructor and asked if they were there on our second visit! "Amber" obviously did her job well. Our visit yesterday was equally good, showing consistency of service delivery from your staff. Equipment appears well maintained and staff knowledgable and helpful, the exact opposite compared to our recent visit to Legoland. Well done to the Sherwood staff. The only negative point is the price is a little high, but if this is the price you pay for safety and good staff so be it. Perhaps some sort of "loyalty scheme" may be worth considering- a free session after 10 visits maybe??

I can usually suffer from a crap form of vertigo, but I think the harness and safety brief really helped and I was able to relax and enjoy it some more. The feeling of falling before swinging into the netting was pretty spectacular - and I personally would have preferred an 'Extreme' route that could have accentuated this some more or even some puzzling parts that took a little thinking to get through (safely of course).Otherwise a big smile from start to finish!
