NEW Treetop Challenge Xpress
We put the thrill into thrill seeker on Treetop Challenge Xpress at Dalby. Enjoy all the thrills of our popular Treetop Challenge course but in half the time.

Go Ape Dalby is an adventurer’s paradise. We’ve set the thrill factor to the max with a jaw-dropping Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure, plus Forest Segways. One of the great things about Dalby is the sense of excitement and anticipation which builds as the course unfurls before you. The Challenge course is a high one – you’ll find yourself 35 metres up in the air so bring your head for heights. Whether pushing yourself to the max or finding your young adventurer’s feet, Dalby delivers.

Forest Segway closed from 2nd December - Spring 2020.

In conjunction with Nork York Moors Dark Skies festival, 4 additional dates are now available to experience Dalby Sundown Zips this Feburary 2020.

With this sundown special you'll begin your after-dark experience with a head torch to guide you. Then once you're safely attached to the course, your head torch will be turned off, before you zip across a valley in complete darkness! If that wasn't thrilling enough, you'll then enjoy a second zip with nothing but the darkness to keep you company.

Dates & Times for Sundown Trees: Zip -

5:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6.30pm & 7pm on the following dates:

  • 14th & 15th Feburary

  • 29th Feburary

tackle the great yorkshire forest

Dalby Forest, located in the North Yorkshire Moors, is famous for its fierce terrains and far-reaching views which draw an international crowd.

With over 8000 acres of woodland to explore – there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

There are 13 walking trails, four running trails and six cycling trails. Bring or hire bikes as there’s 55 miles of cycle routes which range from family friendly to highly technical, demanding routes.

There are two play areas to get the children blowing off steam and there’s much to be discovered in the Enchanted Wood. Look out for the living willow arches, owl carvings, a mystical fort, giant insects and a spider in the trees. The whole family can put their map reading skills to the test as they tackle the Gruffalo Orienteering route.

Pack the charcoal, with multiple BBQ and picnic sites you’re sure to enjoy some al fresco dining or grab a bite to eat and a drink in the café. Worried you won’t have time to fit it all in? Bring your tent as there are camping facilities.

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.

make a day of it

  • Explore the internationally renowned mountain biking trails.
  • Let the children loose on the exciting adventure playground.
  • Sign up for a Stone Initial Carving Workshop.
  • Track down the Highway Rat on the activity trail.
  • Bring a picnic, fire up the BBQ or head over to the visitor centre café.
  • This was my first Go Ape experience at Dalby Forest in Yorkshire and I absolutely loved it! The staff were friendly and approachable. They take safety very seriously with good instruction before being allowed to enter the tree tops. There are different levels of difficulty to choose from so you can “tailor make” your own experience. We chose the more difficult routes which made for a better experience and more laughs! The zip wires through the trees were amazing and the cargo nets test your climbing skills! You have to have a certain head for heights and be physically fit enough to be able to climb. We’re planning our next trip already! We booked an early adventure which in hindsight was a good idea as we missed the large volume of people that arrived later In the morning and able to get a parking space. The visitors centre was very busy with a picnic and BBQ area outside. Overall a great day and highly recommend making a day of it. There are also bike routes and Segway adventures as well as running routes to try. The scenery is stunning.

  • A group of us did the high rope adventure. A thorough briefing session followed by a couple of hours of independent high roping which really is superb. We were a large group across the full age range. It was organised so the small groups went first to minimise hold ups, so after the first obstacle there was very little waiting around. It may appear quite expensive, but it is still decent value for money. Unreservedly recommended
