Go Ape Dalby is an adventurer’s paradise. We’ve set the thrill factor to the max with a jaw-dropping Treetop Challenge, Treetop Adventure, plus Forest Segways all located in Dalby Forest. One of the great things about Dalby is the sense of excitement and anticipation which builds as the course unfurls before you. The Challenge course is a high one – you’ll find yourself 35 metres up in the air so bring your head for heights. Whether pushing yourself to the max or finding your young adventurer’s feet, Dalby Forest delivers.

tackle the great yorkshire forest

Dalby Forest, located in the North Yorkshire Moors, is famous for its fierce terrains and far-reaching views which draw an international crowd.

With over 8000 acres of woodland to explore – there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

There are 13 walking trails, four running trails and six cycling trails. Bring or hire bikes as there’s 55 miles of cycle routes which range from family friendly to highly technical, demanding routes.

There are two play areas to get the children blowing off steam and there’s much to be discovered in the Enchanted Wood. Look out for the living willow arches, owl carvings, a mystical fort, giant insects and a spider in the trees. The whole family can put their map reading skills to the test as they tackle the Gruffalo Orienteering route.

There are picnic sites to enjoy some al fresco dining or grab a bite to eat and a drink in the café. Worried you won’t have time to fit it all in? Bring your tent as there are camping facilities.

  • We completed the Segway course and it was absolutely brilliant. The instructors were incredibly patient and great fun. It was nothing like I imagined so that was a surprise, but there was enough time to pick it up and get to top speed. Definitely worth it and we will be back 🙌

  • Wicked family day out

    Tracy

  • Great idea - zip wire in the dark! We're planning to make it an annual family treat.

    Charlie

  • Overall a great day and experience! Our only comment would be that parking should be discounted for GoApe users. £9 for 2 hours is quite expensive considering we've already paid the £33 ticket fee.

  • I honest to God was shitting myself but knowing that the staff was around and the harnesses was on correctly I felt much safer. I'm glad the staff talked us though the first bit and gave me great hope that i wasnt going to die hahaha. But I'm glad I came as I used to be afraid of heights and falling but now that fear has gone. So I just want to say thankyou for everything go ape. I am defantly coming back!! Xxx
