Due to an incident at our Bracknell site on Saturday 22nd May, which regrettably resulted in a participant being hurt, our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses temporarily closed.
Whilst investigations are not yet concluded, we are leaning towards a product failure as the cause and we have shared this information with the manufacturer. The system, designed by one of the world’s leading rope course manufacturers, has been used safely over 2.5million times at 25 Go Ape sites in the UK since 2011.
We have identified an immediate safety fix, the introduction of an additional safety line to act as an independent secondary back up, which ensures that the same problem cannot happen again. This is now operational at all of our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses.
All of our Treetop Adventure and Adventure Plus courses are open, except for those at Bracknell, which remain closed until the investigation is finalised.

Very cool experience, we were two adults and one 10-year-old and we all absolutely loved it. I liked the fact that you’re alone after the first area. Done very well, very exciting and quite scary at points. Loved the “extreme” part with the climbing wall. I would definitely do it again!

Me and my 5 friends had the best time ever. We did the treetop challenge at Coventry. I would recommend this to anyone. So much fun. So much laughter. So much adrenaline and the staff are so friendly and helpful and really put you at ease and make sure you feel safe before doing anything. Thank you so much go ape!

The new intermediate course at Coombe Abbey is great. But please redesign the Fisherman's Trap, it is tricky to ascend, in my opinion the challenge should be travelling between the trees, not getting up there in the first place.

Lovely location at Coombe Abbey. Friendly & knowledgable staff & lots of them around to help you. Plenty of courses & participants are spaced out nicely so there’s no being rushing on the activities, even on a busy Saturday when I went. Myself and my 8 year old did the tree top adventure plus and both loved it.

My 2 children and I went to the Coventry GO Ape location and had a great time. The location is lovely and the staff although young are motivated, friendly and professional. Never felt unsafe and their procedures are spot on. Top class !

5 Star all the way!! We absolutely loved it at Go Ape Coombe Abbey! My sons 9th Birthday gift and the whole family climbed 10 of us followed by a bar b que in Coombe abbeys beautiful surroundings!! A perfect day thank you. Ps the staff are the nicest people you could meet!
