Winner of Suffolk Tourism Awards – Best Tourism Experience 2011

The original and still the best. Set in the heart of Britain’s largest lowland pine forest, our first ever course is centred around 30 miles of bike and walking trails from which to explore 50,000 acres of forest. And the mother of all our courses features our classic Tree Top Adventure, Forest Segways and Tree Top Junior.

Our Tree Top Adventure features a NEW Tarzan Swing, back-to-back black crossings (don’t worry, they’re optional!) and an Alpine zip (that goes from tree to tree). Now that’s worth shouting from the tree tops!

And the adventure does not need to stop there. You can get off the beaten track and enjoy our forest adventure with Go Ape Forest Segway - an epic experience with a down to earth twist.

And Thetford Forest is also home to our Tree Top Junior Adventure for Mini Tarzans. Release your little monkeys onto a Go Ape course designed for them. No one loves adventure more than kids!

Feedback from Thetford, High Lodge

Take a look at what some of our tribe have said about their time in the forest. It’s always good to hear it straight from the Gorilla’s mouth (…and we’re proud to say it’s totally unedited!) And why not have a peek at what people are saying about us on Trip Advisor.

Excellent, we all really enjoyed Go Ape, the only problem was the extortionate parking charges. We has to take two cars as we had been at Centre Parks and had taken two cars because of work commitments. We had to pay £13.20 to park for the two hours that we took part in Go Ape! We spoke to the lady on the imformation point and she was very unhelpful. I have since phoned Thetford High Lodge and they have refused to refund some of the parking charge. This would possibly put us off returning to Thetford and spoilt what was otherwise a fun experience. Go Ape is not cheap in itself without having hidden parking charges!

great day with family, felt totally safe. Would love to go again next year. Some of the participants in my group had been a couple of times before. The only downside to going to Thetford forest is the huge parking fees.

Luke was full of enthusiasm and made good contact during the breifing and had the whole course to ourselves
Rated 5 Bananas Richard - Forest Segway, on 22 April 2015
This was a gift for my wife's birthday she loves to Segway and we have both participated before but not with go-ape. I can honestly say that this was the best Segway experience we have had . Our instructor Steph was very good and we really enjoyed the day . The only thing that could be improved is perhaps more challenging runs for experienced riders although I do realise there are safety issues. many thanks Richard Tompkins

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say how great the staff were at the tree tops junior course at Thetford Forest on Saturday 18/4/15. We were there with our 3 daughters of 9,7 & 5 years old. To start off with the 5 year old was too scared after getting up there to have a go on the course but after going back down, having a go on the initial section again, then going down the zip line she decided to brave it. There were a few sticky moments which were met by so much encouragement and support from the staff on site both on the ground and on the platforms that she got round and ended up truly loving the experience. The other two were also encouraged and met with enthusiasm and support as they went round and also had an amazing time, so much so that the 9 year old has declared she wants to go on the adult version to celebrate her 10th birthday next month. Please pass on our thanks and appreciation to the staff working that day
