Winner of Suffolk Tourism Awards – Best Tourism Experience 2011

The original and still the best. Set in the heart of Britain’s largest lowland pine forest, our first ever course is centred around 30 miles of bike and walking trails from which to explore 50,000 acres of forest. And the mother of all our courses features our classic Tree Top Adventure, Forest Segways and Tree Top Junior.

Our Tree Top Adventure features a NEW Tarzan Swing, back-to-back black crossings (don’t worry, they’re optional!) and an Alpine zip (that goes from tree to tree). Now that’s worth shouting from the tree tops!

And the adventure does not need to stop there. You can get off the beaten track and enjoy our forest adventure with Go Ape Forest Segway – an epic experience with a down to earth twist.

And Thetford Forest is also home to our Tree Top Junior Adventure for Mini Tarzans. Release your little monkeys onto a Go Ape course designed for them. No one loves adventure more than kids!

Take a look at what some of our tribe have said about their time in the forest. It’s always good to hear it straight from the Gorilla’s mouth (…and we’re proud to say it’s totally unedited!) And why not have a peek at what people are saying about us on Trip Advisor.

The kids enjoyed the challenge, even my eldest who is quite fearful and stopped half way, plans to try again soon! Staff was very caring and prepared, everything was smooth and enojoyable!

I visited with my boyfriend and his 11 year daughter. The quality safety briefing was superb. Paolo was just amazing. So friendly and approachable yet totally professional and I had every faith in what he was telling us.I then discovered (as I climbed my first rope ladder!) that I have a pretty strong fear of heights! Paolo was amazing. He was calm and patient with me. I hadnt expected to need extra attention (!) but he was willing to look after me and talk me through it. I would really like to say a big big thank you to him. He was just lovely. A real asset to your company. Thank you Paolo.

I brought grandchildren of 6&7 who completed the course with me on the ground. I thought the safety aspect was good, and the instructions easy to remember and follow. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Chidren enjoyed it immensely despite being very nervous. They went round twice and I stopped them doing a third circuit as their legs were getting tired and one had already lost her footing on the second time round. It did seem expensive but I felt it was a very safe environment.

My tribe (three gorillas and one baboon) had an excellent time swinging through the trees at Thetford Go Ape course. We particularly enjoyed some of the extreme challenges such as the rings and the swinging logs. My baboon needed a bit of encouragement to step off into nothingness on the Tarzan swing, but beat his chest in joy once he scrambled back up the cargo net and was reattached to the next tree. We look forward to our next Go Ape adventure and were wondering how long it might take us to work our way round all the different courses.

All staff were very friendly, experienced and professional and made the whole experience such fun. Our grandchildren were thrilled and would definitely do it again. Great emphasis was placed on safety and instruction on the trial run was excellent. Well done everyone!
