One of the best days out in Surrey, there’s something for the whole family at Alice Holt Forest, near Farnham. Whether you’re wanting to ‘monkey around’ in cool adventure playgrounds, ride through the forest on the great bike trails or enjoy our ‘classic’ Tree Top Adventure, you’ll have a wonderful day out.
Alice Holt (close to Farnham and Guidford) is home to our original Go Ape experience. We’ll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our obstacles whilst enjoying some breathtaking scenery.
And not just that. You will be just an arrows flight from where the opening scenes of the Gladiator were filmed.

Times will vary on daylight hours. Some of our adventures even open at 08:00 in the summer for those early gorillas!

We're open from February to November, but we close our forest doors during December and January (...it gets a little chilly and we like to maintain our adventures so they're all ready to go).
Open daily February Half Term (16th - 24th February). Closed Wednesday.

The Team at Alice Holt
By car
Take the A325 from Farnham to Bucks Horn Oak and follow signs to Alice Holt Forest
Alice Holt Forest is only a 'stones throw' from Birdworld so you can follow these signs from the M3. You'll find Alice Holt just a couple of miles after Birdworld on the left hand side.
Due to the rural nature of our locations, postcodes are not always accurate when using sat-nav directions. Please always cross reference with a map.
Please note that the following parking charges apply at Alice Holt: £1.50 - £7
By train
The nearest station is at Bentley, approximately 3 miles from the Forest Centre. From here you can walk through Alice Holt Forest to the forest centre along public rights of way. Alternatively take the train to Farnham and catch the Stagecoach number 18 bus to the Forest.
By bus
Stagecoach number 18 runs from Farnham Station to Bucks Horn Oak, stopping at the Halfway House Pub on the A325. It is just a short walk from here to the forest.
Just be sure to allow plenty of time if you come by public transport - it may take a little while longer than you expect!
