Get directions

By car

“Due to our rural location we recommend that you do not use sat nav or GPS systems to locate our course, however if you feel it will aid your journey, please use the postcode CW8 2HZ or head for ‘Delamere Railway Station’ on Station Road.    Go Ape will be signposted from here and is only a few minutes away (depending on the make and model of your Sat Nav!).”

If you're following our direction from our friends "google" they will try to send you down Farm Lane. Please ignore this and continue down to Station Road (which is the next main road on the right).

Follow the signs for Linmere Visitor Centre and, once parked, walk back up the road you just drove down heading towards the railway station.  Turn left over the railway bridge and Go Ape will be on the right hand side in the forest!
Please note: It will normally only take 10 minutes to get to the cabin from the car park, but it can take a little longer during peak times.
Parking costs £4 for 3 hours or £6 for all day, giving you plenty of time to refuel at the cafe or to continue to live life adventurously on one of the ape-tastic walking or biking trails that Delamere has to offer.

By train

Delamere Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station and has won two awards in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition.
Here’s the best bit - it is only a 5 minute walk away, giving the perfect opportunity to not only help the environment but also warm up those muscles and get the blood pumping!  Once you have arrived at the Station, take an immediate right into the forest following the path and you will see our Go Ape shelter and cabin on the right hand side in the forest.
For train times please see Northern Rail or call 0845 00 00 125.

Feedback from Delamere

Take a look at what some of our tribe have said about their time in the forest. It's always good to hear it straight from the Gorilla's mouth (...and we're proud to say it’s totally unedited!) And why not have a peek at what people are saying about us on Trip Advisor.

I had a fantastic time on the Segway at Delamere. I was apprehensive beforehand but really enjoyed it and will be doing it again. The staff were friendly and helpful. The safety instructions were very good and I could see the reasons for the advice once we set off! I was one of the older people but didn't have a problem with it. It was great fun.

Over all my trip to Go Ape at Delamere in Cheshire was good. There was friendly, enthusiatic and helpful staff on hand to ***ist. My only criticisms would be, 1) sign posts / location. I can't believe you do as much business as you do as it is the hardest place in the world to find. By your own admission on your website the sat nav sends you to the wrong place but when you try and follow the website directions the signposts from the car park are badly placed and not obvious. We did a Segway experience with a free orienteering course before we got there. Seriously, you could do with sorting that out. 2) We didn't do the Tree Top adventure but I stood and watched a group getting their safety brief. Your safety system / fall arrest kit is far too complicated in my opinion. Too much faffing about unclipping and clipping back on at junctions. I am a Scout Leader and have taken my Troop (and Family) over 12 times to TreeTops Adventure in LLanwrst, N . Wales. Their safety / fall arrest is far simpler and easier to use. Purely based on watching yours being demonstrated I would always prefer to travel the extra distance to Snowdonia and use theirs and would recommend Tree Tops Adventure to people before Go Ape for a rope / tree top experience. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Again, seriously, this is costing you business. That said, the Segway was good and I would recommend that to people.
