Short Listed for Visit England Awards for Excellence 2012.

Our tree top adventure at Delamere Forest is an interesting adventure in the great outdoors: You’ll take in the stunning scenery at Lake Linmere (and it’s wildlife!) while unleashing your inner Tarzan.

Our tree-top high wires, crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires at Delamere offer a wonderful day out. You’ll enjoy long zip wires and super views over Lake Linmere.

There’s awesome mountain biking and beautiful walking so you can pack out your day out in the forest. Delamere sums up all that is Go Ape.

And don’t forget the adventure does not need to stop there. You can get off the beaten track and enjoy our latest forest adventure with Go Ape! Forest Segway - an epic new experience with a down to earth twist.

Get directions

By car

“Due to our rural location we recommend that you do not use sat nav or GPS systems to locate our course, however if you feel it will aid your journey, please use the postcode CW8 2HZ or head for ‘Delamere Railway Station’ on Station Road.    Go Ape will be signposted from here and is only a few minutes away (depending on the make and model of your Sat Nav!).”

If you're following our direction from our friends "google" they will try to send you down Farm Lane. Please ignore this and continue down to Station Road (which is the next main road on the right).

Follow the signs for Linmere Visitor Centre and, once parked, walk back up the road you just drove down heading towards the railway station.  Turn left over the railway bridge and Go Ape will be on the right hand side in the forest!
Please note: It will normally only take 10 minutes to get to the cabin from the car park, but it can take a little longer during peak times.
Parking costs £4 for 3 hours or £6 for all day, giving you plenty of time to refuel at the cafe or to continue to live life adventurously on one of the ape-tastic walking or biking trails that Delamere has to offer.

By train

Delamere Railway Station is a Cheshire Best Kept Station and has won two awards in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition.
Here’s the best bit - it is only a 5 minute walk away, giving the perfect opportunity to not only help the environment but also warm up those muscles and get the blood pumping!  Once you have arrived at the Station, take an immediate right into the forest following the path and you will see our Go Ape shelter and cabin on the right hand side in the forest.
For train times please see Northern Rail or call 0845 00 00 125.

Great experience as a whole- really friendly staff.

The whole experience was really good although one of the 11-year olds in my party was terrified during the final stretch on site 5 high in the tree canopy (due to wind making the tree sway). Highlight was tarzan swing into cargo net with the unexpected drop - had to catch flying glasses

As 2 adults we were slightly pessimistic about the course being predominantly aimed at 'children'. We were, however, pleasently surprised indeed. My partner was after a day to clear her head from the stresses of work and Go-Ape certainly achieved this aim and exceeded expectations. It was light-hearted, yet challenging; providing a good couple of hours to step out of our comfort zone and enjoy the experience! A thoroughly enjoyable day!

Safety briefing was not as clear this time compared with my previous experience at Grizedale.

Started off badly as got stuck in traffic and missed our slot. Rang ahead and the staff were really helpful and fitted us in at the next available slot which was half an hour after we arrived. Staff were friendly and relaxed.
