Axe Throwing at aberfoyle: The Important Stuff
What should I wear?
We suggest something casual and comfy, plus you must have closed-toe shoes (no flip flops). Make sure to dress for the weather, so bring along a mac if it’s raining!
Is it safe?
There is inevitably a small risk of injury when doing activities like this, but everyone taking part will get a safety briefing from a trained instructor at the start. Any risk of injury has been minimised to the best of our ability. Go Ape is fully insured, we hold £10m of public liability insurance covering all of our courses.
What happens in bad weather?
We’re an excellent wet weather activity! We remain open except when it’s icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning. Don’t forget to dress for the weather. Sometimes, unfortunately, we might need to close the course for reasons beyond our control, if this happens you’ll be given a full refund.
Signing your waiver
Before taking part, everyone needs to complete a waiver. While under 16s need a guardian to sign on their behalf for our other activities, our Axe Throwing is for 16 and over only.
If you get this done before you arrive at the cabin, it’ll speed up your check in making for a faster (and more fun) start to the day. Don’t worry, we’ll email you!
The link will be in your confirmation email. If somebody else booked, they can forward it to you (multiple people can follow the same link).
Safety rules and advice
You can help make sure everyone has a fun and safe time by ensuring your party follows the safety rules during the activity.
For the seventh year in a row we've been recognised as leaders in health and safety practice, receiving the RoSPA Gold Leisure Safety Award. This is the highest possible achievement in the UK's longest-running health and safety industry awards, recognising our dedication to safety and excellence.
