Alexandra Palace

This is Go Ape for urban lovers.

A tree top adventure with a big London stamp - panoramic views and an easy walk to the high streets, next to the iconic Alexandra Palace. It may not be your typical forest location and it may be all the more challenging for it.

With Treetop ChallengeTreetop AdventureTreetop Adventure Plus to choose from, there really is something for all the family, from the newbies through to the ultimate thrill seekers.

We recommend that all visitors  travel via public transport where possible because parking for cars is extremely limited. Public transport links are excellent whether you prefer to travel by train, tube or bus.

Located in the heart of North London, Alexandra Palace offers all-year, all-round fun. The park was opened over 150 years ago and as well as being home to one of our London Go Ape adventures there’s plenty on offer to keep everyone entertained.

The 196-acres of park also offers both formal gardens and woodlands.

There’s a boating lake with a range of boats including pedalos and classic rowing boats, and you can put your golfing skills to the test on the pitch and putt course. Head over to the park’s Ice Rink to for some slippery (and cold) fun on the ice and there’s also a skate park for boarders to hone their skills and tricks.

Most Sundays you’ll find the farmers’ market at Ally Pally selling local produce from over 30-stalls and if you’re feeling peckish and in need of refreshments there is the Lakeside Café and the Grove Café.

Know before you visit

• Wear sensible clothes for adventure.

• Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.

• Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

• Retainers for glasses can be purchased.

• Allow plenty of time to get to the cabin.

• Take a turn around London’s biggest ice rink.

• Paddle boat on the lake before a tasty snack at the Lakeside Café.

• In the summer, practice your golf swing on the 10-hole pitch and putt course.

• Bring the skateboard or watch the experts at the skate park.

  • It wasn’t a very fun experience, my only concern is that the obstacle with the ropes that you walk through is sooo painful! When the knots on the rope rub against your leg, it hurts, so I felt more pain instead of FEAR during this experience, other than that it was sooo much fun and a great thrill

  • Amazingly helpful and flexible during booking, offered us a good discount for our impoverished youth group, staff helpful and friendly, great activity, beautiful views, awesome challenged, and you really put the cherry on top when you agreed to giving us an on-the-spot discount when half our group didn't make the early start. THANK YOU Only feedback would be - you should definitely make it clear to people that you should wear gloves in advance as we had to pay a lot extra for gloves and its pretty essential wear. Also our instructor could have been a bit more friendly! But I guess in a way her austere demeanor kind of added to the fear factor which helps the adrenaline get pumping! Finally - the junior course at Alexandra Palace looks so much more beautiful and fun in all the trees! I reckon get some more nature involved and it would feel even more of an adventure.
