Adventures
Located in the heart of North London, Alexandra Palace offers all-year, all-round fun. The park was opened over 150 years ago and as well as being home to one of our London Go Ape adventures there’s plenty on offer to keep everyone entertained.
Alexandra Palace Theatre re-opened, after 80 years, in December 2018 and there’s a packed programme with all genres of music, theatre and comedy. The 196-acres of park also offers both formal gardens and woodlands.
There’s a boating lake with a range of boats including pedalos and classic rowing boats, and you can put your golfing skills to the test on the pitch and putt course. Head over to the park’s Ice Rink to for some slippery (and cold) fun on the ice and there’s also a skate park for boarders to hone their skills and tricks.
Most Sundays you’ll find the farmers’ market at Ally Pally selling local produce from over 30-stalls and if you’re feeling peckish and in need of refreshments there is the Lakeside Café and the Grove Café.
• Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
• Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.
• Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.
• Retainers for glasses can be purchased.
• Allow plenty of time to get to the cabin.
• Take a turn around London’s biggest ice rink.
• Paddle boat on the lake before a tasty snack at the Lakeside Café.
• In the summer, practice your golf swing on the 10-hole pitch and putt course.
• Bring the skateboard or watch the experts at the skate park.
