Battersea Park

Our most central forest experience in London. This is big outdoor fun in the big city with spectacular views across Battersea and the park. There's more to this stacked course than meets the eye with people above, below and all around you. A head for heights is a must as Battersea’s Treetop Challenge crossings are twice the height of most Go Ape locations. Over on the Adventure course the Fisherman’s Net and thrilling zip wires keep this one firmly top of the Go Ape fan list.

High Ropes in Central London

Rather than spread across a rambling course you’ll have people above you and below you navigating the stacked loops of our treetop Battersea course.

Once you’ve had your treetop fun there’s plenty in the park to keep everyone entertained. Enjoy an amble among the trees or you can sit back and take in the beauty of the Old English Garden or the exotic in the Sub Tropical Gardens.

Young adventurers are spoiled for choice with three playgrounds to choose from including a state-of-the-art adventure playground and a Pirate Ship.

Give your feet a rest, hire some bikes and explore the park from two wheels and if that sounds too strenuous why not hire a rowing or pedal boat and soak up the views from the waterside on the Boating Lake?

Give your golf putting a bit of practice or introduce the little ones with a round of Putt in the Park. Look up and you’ll see the Go Apers navigating their way across the course.

And if all that isn’t enough and you’re still thinking you can pack more in – head over to Battersea Park’s Children’s Zoo. Get up close to the animals, listen to the child-friendly keeper talks and enjoy (another!) play area.

things to do in battersea park

Know before you go

  • Personal items such as mobile phones are not permitted on the course. Glasses retainers can be supplied free of charge.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels
  • Gloves are a good idea. Bring a pair or buy them at the cabin on the day.
  • Allow plenty of time to get to the cabin.
  • We have lockers, but it might not be a bad idea leaving very valuable items at home.

Make a day of it

  • Enjoy the crazy golf beneath the high ropes of the Treetop Challenge.
  • Refresh and refuel at Putt in the Park Bar, Pizzeria and Café, the Pear Tree Café or one of the kiosks located around the park.
  • Give your brain an adventure at the Natural History Museum in nearby Kensington.
  • Meet the Capuchins and Tamarins at Battersea Park Zoo.
  • When we arrived the staff gave us all the necessary information promptly and were really friendly. They explained the process clearly and made sure we all knew what we were doing before letting us set off on our go ape course in Battersea Park. The course itself was really good fun, a decent amount of zip lines and about three different levels of ropes to challenge ourselves with. Lots of variety and options! We were really surprised when the staff told us it would take 2/3 hours for the entire course as it didn’t look that long but it actually did take us about three hours and we were going round it practically non stop! Definitely worth the money! The staff were great at every area, really pleasant and encouraging. We had never done a go Ape before but were definitely sold on it now and we’re going to make it an annual event for my family and I.

  • Very friendly staff, and an enjoyable afternoon activity. A good selection of difficult and easy obsticles to work through. The entirety of the course has your wheeled support connected, so makes it easier to switch between activities compared to other go ape courses (especially if you’re feeling hungover!). Make sure you eat before hand otherwise the very prevelant smell of freshly cooked pizza from the restaurant below will have you salivating whilst hanging several feet in the air.
