Adventures
go ape adventures in swinley forest
on the lookout at Go ape Bracknell
Being owned by the Crown Estate we like to think Go Ape Bracknell has royal approval! It definitely has a sprinkling of magic dust as parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed on location here.
Conveniently tucked amongst Reading, Farnborough, Maidenhead and Slough it’s the perfect antidote to busy living – a calm oasis for families to retreat to.
Swinley Forest stretches over 2,600-acres of gentle hills from Bracknell to Crowthorne. It’s a lovely place to explore on foot and it’s well known for its mountain bike trails.
There’s a 15-mile cycle network offering Green (beginner), Blue (intermediate) and Red (advanced) trails so something for the two-wheel adventurers and family riders too.
Bring your own bikes or you can hire from the Swinley Bike Hub.
Children can launch a hydrogen rocket, play with boats in the indoor stream or build a house with our friends in The Look Out Discovery Centre.
There is also a play area which is split into three parts – an inclusive area, infant play area and junior play area.
You can grab a drink and snack from the Coffee Shop and there are also lots of tables and benches surrounding the play area, if you’d rather bring a picnic!
Not too far away from Go Ape at Moors Valley Country Park, Southampton, Alice Holt and Bracknell, cabins are nestled among tall beech trees in a corner of secluded forest. From woodland den building to marshmallow melting, surround yourself with nature in a cabin in the heart of one of Britain's beautiful forests.
Explore the Hampshire countryside on riverside and forest walks; hike across the downs and stop off at quaint village pubs; climb hills and walk along chalkland ridges for fabulous views all the way down to the south coast.
