This outdoor activity centre in Staffordshire hits all the fun and adventure buttons against a backdrop of stunning valley views.

In an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty you’ll find the longest combined crossing of any Go Ape location with nearly 1,500 metres of tree-to-tree crossings on our Challenge course.

The Treetop Adventure course is ideal for children (and adults) to find their tree legs and build their climbing confidence.

If you’re a ‘keep your feet firmly on the ground’ kind of person, you can enjoy the breathtaking views from the comfort of one of our off-road Segways.

Things to do in Cannock Chase Forest

Located in the smallest Area of Outstanding Beauty in mainland Britain and promises to deliver big time fun and adventure. Within an hours’ drive of Birmingham, a stone's throw away from Trentham and easy to reach distance from Leicester, it’s the perfect opportunity to escape the city for the day!

Once you climbed and whizzed your way around the trees you can explore the woodland on one of the many walking trails. Hire or bring your own bikes to enjoy the miles of cycling and mountain biking trails. 

There’s something to suit all ages and abilities with relaxing family rides through the picturesque valleys to the dedicated single-track of Follow the Dog and the Monkey Trail. For children there’s a play area and a walking trail with Gruffolo sculpture, three bears chairs, fairy trees and Play Houses.

More steam to blow off? Bring a ball and enjoy a kick about in the large grassy clearing and picnic area. There’s also the Birches Valley Café if you want to grab a drink and delicious culinary treat. Dogs are welcome – there’s even an activity trail for your four-legged friends! KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip-off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

MAKE A DAY OF IT

  • Hire or bring your bikes to explore the cycling and mountain bike trails.
  • Explore the beautiful woodland on the walking trails.
  • Let the children loose on the children’s adventure playground.
  • Bring the dog and tackle the doggy activity trail!
