Cockfosters, Trent Park

Welcome to the most challenging Go Ape outdoor activity centre in London, but believe us, you will feel a million miles away from city life in the beautiful Trent Country Park, Barnet.

Go Ape Cockfosters is home to two breathtakingly fun (and super-difficult) high ropes courses:

Treetop Challenge is for thrill seekers who love canopy-high tree-to-trees crossings, free-fall Tarzan Swings and riding super-fast, very long North London zip wire experiences. Perfect for adults, older children & teens over 1.4m.

Challenge Plus is our latest high ropes activity, and it's proper, and proper tough. It's a dialled-up version of our classic high ropes adventure. Only for the bravest adults only.

Your next adventure is only a five-minute walk from Cockfosters Tube Station.

Go Ape trent park activities

A hub of adventure in cockfosters

Cockfosters Go Ape lies in Trent Country Park, close to Enfield, mins from the tube and close to the M25. Immerse yourself in 413-acres of extensive woodland, rolling meadows, enchanting brooks and imposing historical sites.

Once you’ve victoriously tackled the highest Go Ape course in the South East, you can see what the beautiful park has to offer.

Bring the bikes and head out on the cycle routes or if you prefer to explore on foot there are a couple of walking routes which incorporate a number of the park’s historical memorials including Sassoon’s Obelisk, the Duke’s Pyramid and Camlet Moat.

Depending on the season the Nature Trail will offer you something different each time and you can seek out the Water Garden which has recently been restored to its former glory. If you prefer a lakeside view why not bring your rod (and an Environment Agency Rod Licence) as fishing is available on the lakes during the open season.

It’s not all grown up fun – kids get a look in too at Trent Country Park. There are two brilliant wooden play areas – one which caters to toddlers and one specially for the juniors.

Worked up a thirst and an appetite? Head over to the Wildlife Rescue Centre and Café for some refreshments.

I won tickets for my first go ape experience so my husband, daughter and I visited the Cockfosters site. My daughter and I were extremely nervous but once we had had our safety briefing and was taken to the first obstacle by the instructor we relaxed a little. We had so much fun and the instructors were nearby checking up on us now and again. I really felt like I conquered my fears here as I'm not the best with heights! My favourite parts had to be the zip wires, particularly the skateboard one which I managed to stay on most of the way down! This was a fab day out, I certainly felt it the next day! Really impressed with the whole experience. Thank you

  • Go Ape high ropes course

100% recommend. Very fun and safe, a bit scary at times, but loved the experience all the way through. It takes a good 2 hours and goes up in difficulty, very physical. 10yo son loved it, and so did the adults in the group.
