Stumped

Stumped.

Welcome to Stumped. A fiendishly thinky-thinky, problem-solving, logic game courtesy of yours truly. The Go Ape Tribe.

We've created ten puzzles which are located around Dalkeith Country Park. Your job is to navigate around, find them all and solve each one to reveal a four-digit code for each game. Each code opens a lock box that will provide you with a clue.

The recommended maximum group size is six, but if your group is bigger, we'd recommend buying two packs and competing against each other to see who will complete the game first. We all like a bit of friendly competition, right?!

Will you be able to crack them all and solve the puzzle?

Prepare to be stumped!

Stumped: All you need to know

What is Stumped?

Stumped is a logic game. You travel around Dalkeith Country Park to find ten different puzzles, answering clues to work out a 4-number code. You use this code to unlock a key safe to find a letter. The ten letters spell a word. Some puzzles are trickier than others. You also might need to revisit the different puzzles if the code doesn't open the safe!

How do I book?

You can book Stumped online, or turn up at the Go Ape cabin during times that our other activities are running.

What ages is it suitable for?

Stumped is suitable for those 8 years old and above. We recommend younger children participate in a school or family group.

We anticipate that children aged 12 and above will be able to complete Stumped without input from adults. However, as with any logic game, this will depend upon the child, they may find some puzzles harder than others.

All children need to be adequately supervised by an adult aged 18 or older.

How long does it last?

Most participants will complete the game in one hour, depending on how quickly you can figure out the puzzles. If you get "stumped", it might take longer than an hour!

What will happen on the day?

Once you have arrived at the Go Ape cabin, you will pay £10 and be given a clue sheet with a map. You can work around the course in any order, but you follow the map to find all the clues. Once you have worked out the ten-letter word, you return to the cabin for your Stumped certificate.

What is the recommended group size?

The recommended maximum group size is six, but if your group is bigger, we'd recommend buying two packs and competing against each other to see who will complete the game first. We all like a bit of friendly competition, right?!

This is the 1st time with family outdoor with my son and his age is 11. We had a great fun and adventures. We loved it. Will definitely make my calender booked for next time and more. I really enjoyed and playing. The guy named SEB at Sherwood was very friendly and cleared all my son doubt. He explained each and every thing regarding the safety and how to handle. Special thanks to him and his team. All staffs are good with their smiley faces. I strongly recommend who ever needs to relax and get their physical build and get motivated by yourself with different level of challenges. I could write more pages..... But in one word. I loved it. I will recommend to my friends and families members. I shall come along with them. Haahhaha

We visited for the Treetop Adventure today. My 7 year old daughter managed both challenges with no worries or fear. My 9 year old nephew was very apprehensive, wary and cautious. He managed the first challenge really well and completed the zip line. When he got to the top of the second challenge his nerves kicked in and got the better of him. One of the amazing staff members Max stepped straight in and went up to have a chat with him. Max was great and rather than talk my nephew down he managed to guide him through the challenge. His support and encouraging chats got him all the way round the challenge. My nephew is over the moon he managed to complete it and did the zip line twice too. Just want to give Max and the team on shift today a huge shout out. Thank you all so much, you were great! We would highly recommend Go Ape Dalby. It was a fantastic day.

  • Go Ape high ropes course

Went to go ape today at mallards pike Forest of Dean to do the tree top challenge. I was part of the 11am booking my name is Rose. The two fellas that were supporting us how to do the challenge were amazing! I struggled from the start, but every so often they would shout out encouragement and offering support. I really felt like I couldn’t do it , but my family and their support I completed it. These guys made the entire experience better, for that I’m truly thankful. Sorry I can’t remember their names
