ON TWO WHEELS OR TO THE TREES?

Spanning three counties – Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, this area of the Forest of Dean has some serious claims to historical fame. It was King Henry VIII’s hunting forest and its mystical, magical settings were the inspiration for the Tolkien books. So, you can expect beautiful views and something a little special from this location.

Enjoy a stroll beside the waterside at the scenic Mallards Pike Lake, where you'll find a café to refuel.

Make a day of your visit – there are a number of walking and beautiful running routes and with such varied terrain and scenery, the Forest of Dean is cycling heaven. There’s something for road cyclists and mountain bikers wanting to go off-road and downhill – fast.

Head over to Puzzlewood which is a popular TV and film location and if you are staying for the day we recommend a picnic by the water’s edge.

At Forest of Dean you will find our Adventure, Challenge and Segway activities, these are split over two sites which are 15 minutes apart. Forest of Dean Mallards Pike is home to Treetop Challenge and Segway whilst Forest of Dean Beechenhurst offers Treetop Adventure
