Outdoor adventures in Glentress Forest

Site Manager Stew's Guide on things to do in Peebles

What do customers love most about your Go Ape?
THE HIGH ZIPS! We have the highest zipline in Scotland and the biggest at Go Ape too. The course winds through the forest culminating in the giant zip slides. You will zip out of the trees and into the open with views across the Tweed Valley. It really is an incredible sight to behold, even on a 'bad weather day'.

But more than just the course, our forest is magnificent. We have a family of red squirrels and the ospreys who return to nest every year. Glentress Forest is a hidden gem, and you'll fall in love with it straight away.

Can spectators watch?

Absolutely. Non-participants are more than welcome to watch from the forest floor, and they can follow their group round and bring dogs too.

How would you recommend people prepare for their visit to Go Ape Peebles?

First and foremost, you should wear sensible clothes that you don't mind getting muddy.

Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.

Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or buy them at the cabin on the day.

The Go Ape cabin only accepts card payments, while the Forestry Scotland car park only accepts cash
