Winter Opening open weekends throughout winter.

This Treetop Challenge is for the true daredevils. Tackle the staggeringly high platforms and tricky tree to tree crossings. Free-falling through the Douglas firs feels particularly heart-stopping at this thrilling location. practical information

  • Loved it! Did both tree experience and zip line, unfortunatelly was unable to finish top of the tree experience because of a woman in front who delayed all movement and we had to leave it to go for zip line. But all of it was so great! At some point will go back to finish the track!

  • Great family challenge! After a week of walks in The Lake District we all enjoyed a change of pace during our afternoon at Go Ape Grizedale. Not for the faint hearted but definitely an exhilarating experience, our family of 4 (kids 13 & 10) were all left with a great sense of satisfaction after completing the course. The team of instructors were fantastic giving us confidence to take on the challenge with plenty of autonomy whilst always being on hand if needed. Will was a great instructor - humourous but thorough! We will return I’m sure...

  • Fab place to visit, this was our 3rd year at Grizedale Go Ape. Kids and adults loved it. Great staff, great facilities, lovely cafe serving great food, just what you need after swinging through the trees.
