Know Before You Go

What should I wear?

We suggest that you wear something you don’t mind getting grubby. Dress for the weather, so bring along a mac if it’s raining! Make sure your stomach area is covered. Please wear appropriate footwear with soles with good grips. No sandals or slip-off shoes. You’ll need closed toe and heel shoes (with flat soles). Long hair must be tied back.

When do I need to arrive?

Make your way to the Go Ape cabin and be ready to get going on your Go Ape adventure at your booked time. Late arrivals that miss their session will be charged at full price.

Can I bring a camera?

Phones and cameras are permitted, as long as they always stay attached to the participant. Lanyards are available to buy from the cabin, subject to availability.

TREE TOP ADVENTURE, FOREST SEGWAY, Whinlatter

Some of our group did treetops and others did Segway - all enjoyed it. Excellent customer service when one of our group lost their nerve and said they didn't want to do the activity we'd booked, money was paid back to us straight away.

I took my 5 year old whilst my 8 year old was part of a Go Ape party. They have both not done it before and both loved it so we will definitely be returning.

Although the facilities are awesome and the kids love the experience this event is just too expensive. We planned to all go and my eldest wanted to go on the adventure course but because of the cost he went on the smaller course which he had done once before and my wife and I watched the children. I have three children so for five to go on the adventure it's 141 pounds for two hours. We could go to Thorpe Park for the entire day for that money. It's a shame as we love it and it's a great concept but you're over priced.

I would like to say how great our instructor was, Caitlin was funny, kind, supportive, friendly and very reassuring, I am extremely scared of heights and almost backed out a couple of times but with her support I completed the sections and was even buzzing for the big zip wire at the end of section 5, can't believe I done it!!!!! Was there with my children and we all had a blast!! Thank you so much 😄😄
