You’ll find one of our more challenging sites here in the heart of the Peak District. This leafy course is beautiful in all seasons – a lush green tunnel high up in the tree tops.

This is one of the highest Go Ape courses in the UK which features one of our biggest Tarzan Swings.  With this claim to fame we’ve added a whole host of zip wires meaning there’s an exhilarating extended course with its own tree-to-tree section to fly through.

Hide out in the High Ropes

Just the journey in to Buxton Go Ape, through the beautiful Peak District National Park, will set the scene of what awaits you. Conveniently located within walking distance from the historic spa town of Buxton, and just under an hour’s drive from Sheffield city centre, you can spend the whole day in England’s largest and oldest national park.

Explore the area on one of the many walks including Mam Tor and The Great Ridge Walk which offer one of the best views in the Peak District.

For beautiful views across the town of Buxton climb to the top of Grin Low to find Solomon’s Temple, a Victorian folly built on a Bronze Age barrow. Discover Poole’s Cavern, the first ‘Wonder of the Peak’ and one of the finest limestone show caves in England.

Once you’ve walked, climbed and hiked your way around the area, why not head back to Buxton, a thermal spa town famous for its stunning ornamental gardens, Georgian and Victorian architecture.

  • I attended Go Ape Buxton with my 11 year old daughter and had a great day! Our safety demonstrator was a lovely chap and very thorough. One member of staff was grumpy and not very friendly but over all we were happy. The actual course was alot of fun and we particularly enjoyed the zip wires. The course isn't too long and we completed it in about an hour and half. We spent alot of time waiting for the people in front to move to the next activity and were the first people on from our session. It would have been great to do it at our own pace rather than others but appreciate that can't be helped. Ideally my daughter would have loved to have done the course twice and at a faster pace. We would definately go again!

  • Fab morning at Buxton go ape, challenging if you haven’t got a head for heights, but staff were really good and you knew you were safe all the way round as there was always someone in sight

  • My friends and I had such a fun time, despite the unforgiving rain. The instructors were very welcoming and made sure we were fully prepared before taking on the course... they were also very present throughout the whole course. I would totally recommend doing this course with the new layout and more zip wires it made our trip unforgettable. Well done Buxton Go Ape 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
