Buxton

You’ll find one of our more challenging sites here in the heart of the Peak District. This leafy course is beautiful in all seasons – a lush green tunnel high up in the tree tops.

This is one of the highest Go Ape courses in the UK which features one of our biggest Tarzan Swings.  With this claim to fame we’ve added a whole host of zip wires meaning there’s an exhilarating extended course with its own tree-to-tree section to fly through.

Hide out in the High Ropes

Just the journey in to Buxton Go Ape, through the beautiful Peak District National Park, will set the scene of what awaits you. Conveniently located within walking distance from the historic spa town of Buxton, and just under an hour’s drive from Sheffield city centre, you can spend the whole day in England’s largest and oldest national park.

Explore the area on one of the many walks including Mam Tor and The Great Ridge Walk which offer one of the best views in the Peak District.

For beautiful views across the town of Buxton climb to the top of Grin Low to find Solomon’s Temple, a Victorian folly built on a Bronze Age barrow. Discover Poole’s Cavern, the first ‘Wonder of the Peak’ and one of the finest limestone show caves in England.

Once you’ve walked, climbed and hiked your way around the area, why not head back to Buxton, a thermal spa town famous for its stunning ornamental gardens, Georgian and Victorian architecture.

  • Had a fabulous time yesterday, I dislike heights but I wanted to do something fun with my husband and children aged 12 and 14. It was one of the best activities I have ever done. I was buzzing all day. Probably good idea to take a spare set of clothes for after though.... especially for those who end up on their back after the zip wire... adds to the extra fun!

  • Fabulous, knowledgeable staff who made sure we were safe and having fun right from the start. Exciting and exhilarating experience and well worth a visit!

  • We were a group of 6 participants so larger than the 4 other couples in our group. We were asked to go at the back after all the couples which we were perfectly fine with as we could all stay together and didn’t have to rush so could take our time. Our instructor was Erica who was great at explaining everything in detail and looking after us. We had a great time, even though it rained all day so we were all cold, wet & muddy afterwards. We will definitely be coming back again!
