Buxton

You’ll find one of our more challenging sites here in the heart of the Peak District. This leafy course is beautiful in all seasons – a lush green tunnel high up in the tree tops.

This is one of the highest Go Ape courses in the UK which features one of our biggest Tarzan Swings.  With this claim to fame we’ve added a whole host of zip wires meaning there’s an exhilarating extended course with its own tree-to-tree section to fly through.

Hide out in the High Ropes

Just the journey in to Buxton Go Ape, through the beautiful Peak District National Park, will set the scene of what awaits you. Conveniently located within walking distance from the historic spa town of Buxton, and just under an hour’s drive from Sheffield city centre, you can spend the whole day in England’s largest and oldest national park.

Explore the area on one of the many walks including Mam Tor and The Great Ridge Walk which offer one of the best views in the Peak District.

For beautiful views across the town of Buxton climb to the top of Grin Low to find Solomon’s Temple, a Victorian folly built on a Bronze Age barrow. Discover Poole’s Cavern, the first ‘Wonder of the Peak’ and one of the finest limestone show caves in England.

Once you’ve walked, climbed and hiked your way around the area, why not head back to Buxton, a thermal spa town famous for its stunning ornamental gardens, Georgian and Victorian architecture.

  • We went to Buckston Go Ape. Sunday day we was due to go do it was raining Heavily so we went early see if we could swop to a other day. As we are closer to 60yrs of age than 50 yrs. We was worried about slipping in wet conditions. The staff were So So helpfull at swopping it even checked weather for finer day. We was doing at as my husbands birthday treat while on holiday in Bradwell. So had free time to swop. When it came to day the guy remembered us. All staff explained thourhly. & lots time to practice under suppervition. That was essential key. All ways made us comfortable even when got it wrong.. We were left to it only when we felt safe. There was always some one on ground if we needed.. The whole experience was exillatating & worth while. Want to do it again.. Thanks Buxton
