Crawley

Something a little different for Go Ape lovers. Our Crawley site is located at Tilgate Park, a few minutes’ drive from the town centre and only a 40-minute drive from Brighton. Set within a park containing a lake, extensive woodlands, multiple activities and a themed restaurant, there is plenty to do. There’s no hiding what awaits as you approach this high ropes course. With the course laid out in front of you and the sounds of adventurers tackling the obstacles, you’ll quickly start to feel the anticipation building.

HIGH ROPES IN SUSSEX

Crawley Go Ape is located in Tilgate Park, 162 hectares to the south of Crawley. The park is jammed packed with things to do once you set your feet down on terra firma.

Have a breather and refuel in the Walled Garden café, before heading out to explore the heritage parkland and Nature Centre.

You’ll find beautiful lawns, lakes, heather gardens and a Peace Garden. Go and say hello to the animals in the Nature Centre which is home to mongoose, meerkats, reindeers and otters, to name but a few.

A large children’s play area overlooks the lake and you can hire family boats (rowing boats, canoes and double sit on top kayaks) or single boats (stand up paddle boards and sit on top kayaks) if you’d like to get out and about on the lake.

Up for more? There’s walking routes and cycle routes if you’d like to explore the beautiful parkland a little further.

Sit back and relax by the water’s edge if you fancy trying your hand at angling but if swinging a club is more your thing, then head over to the golf course.

THINGS TO DO IN CRAWLEY

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

  • Wear sensible clothes for adventure.
  • Footwear must be sturdy and suitable for the outdoors. No sandals, slip off shoes, open toes or heels.
  • Gloves are a good idea. Either bring a pair or you can buy them at the cabin on the day.

MAKE A DAY OF IT

  • Hire a boat and head out on to the lake.
  • Bring a bike to go further afield in the parkland.
  • Head over to the golf course to see who’s best at the tricky putting.
  • Get close to nature in the Nature Centre.

  • Came to Crathes as a birthday treat for my nephew, great fun! We all loved it. Scary enough to be exciting but not to scary to be daunting, loved loved loved! 5 stars!

    Sarah Coutts

  • Had an absolutely fantastic day all staff were well trained and helpful couldn't fault them or the course. Such fun.

    Eilean

  • There were too many in the overall group which meant lots of hanging around and waiting- it was almost 1hour before everyone had the harnesses on and had watched the safety demonstration. Less challenging overall when compared to Aberfoyle but still very enjoyable.

    Stephanie Inglis

  • great obstacles and layout. very clear and simple safety setup. 100% recommend
