Leave your busy life behind and escape to the trees in one of Britain's largest remaining ancient forests. The outlook changes seasonally – during the summer you’ll be getting plenty of sun in the treetops, with winter visits giving a greater sense of height and the location.

Whether you’re looking for family fun, history, culture or just adventure - Wyre Forest has plenty to keep you all busy.

Take the kids over to the children’s play area and get them exploring the forest on the Zog activity trail.

If they’ve more energy to burn, take them Gruffalo

Orienteering to see if they can find the markers hidden deep in the wood.

Get out and about in the forest. There are three waymarked walking trails and you can bring or hire bikes. Cyclists love this area for the challenging hills and the meandering roads. Head over to the River Severn for some canoeing and kayaking, and while sticking with the water theme you can also try your hand at both coarse and fly fishing.

Feeling peckish? Visit the forest café for a drink and refreshments.

  • Staff were excellent at Wyre Forest - at the reception desk, on the ground and the high ropes. Kids had a great time and would definitely recommend the junior course for kids aged 8 & 10. An hour is plenty to do both level 1 and 2&3 a couple of times each. Best bit for the kids was the zip wire. Would recommend an early time slot during school holidays.

  • Amazing day for my son's birthday. The instructors were brilliant and very good at making sure your safe and the course was fantastic. Took 2 teenage boys and their mum about 3 and half hours to get round. It was so good but I did ache like mad the next day so be prepared it's physically challenging and definitely take gripping gloves my hands hurt like mad too. Would recommend 100% great day out.

  • The family had a great time at Wyre Forest the staff were very helpful and extremely safety conscious. The course had lots of different challenges in the tree tops and some really fun parts. We also liked the flexible booking and cancellation options and found that Go Ape were really interested in making sure their customers had a great experience and were not just there to take in the money.

  • Only slight negative was the Parking, Main Parking Machines wouldn't take Notes, neither would they accept Debit Cards on the day so make sure you take at least £4 in coins for 4 hours Parking. Out of control of the Go Ape team but worth noting!. A great fun afternoon nevertheless highly recommended and we will return for sure!
