The Pinetum Trail

Discover the wonders of the Pinetum.

Embark on an unforgettable journey through the National Pinetum, where you'll be surrounded by extraordinary trees and an abundance of wildlife. The waymarked trail is suitable for all ages and abilities, making it the perfect destination for a family outing, a leisurely stroll, or an invigorating hike.

Experience the magic of the National Pinetum as you explore the internationally significant tree collection throughout the seasons. Whether it's the lush greens of spring, the vibrant hues of autumn or the serene beauty of a winter's day, there's always something new to discover.

As you walk through the Pinetum, you'll be able to admire a wide variety of conifers, including rare and endangered species, from all over the world. You'll also have the opportunity to spot some of the local wildlife that call the Pinetum home.

The Play Trail

Perfect for kids of all ages.

Bedgebury forest hosts an exciting play trail, so you can turn time in nature into an engaging outdoor adventure for your little ones.

With so much to discover, kids can step back in time as they follow in the footsteps of the historic plant hunters. On the natural play trail, you'll uncover hidden treasures such as the Shipwreck, test your balance on the Giant Rope Swing, and walk the plank at the Trading Post.

But the fun doesn't stop there - you'll also have the chance to explore Forestry England’s brand new Puzzle Forest, complete with exciting climbing frames and a thrilling slide, plus more forest-related fun.

Sawmill Trail

An adaptable family stroll.

Starting by the main car park, choose to follow the waymarked blue family trail short or long loop for a scenic rural walk. This is a shared-use trail, for both walkers and cyclists.
