Coombe Abbey Country Park

Steeped in history, Coombe Abbey lies on the site of a 12th Century Cistercian Abbey and was even a key location in the gunpowder plot. It is also a haven for wildlife, with one of the oldest and largest recorded heron nesting sites in Warwickshire.

Visitors will feel miles away from city-life as they explore 500-acres of grasslands, woodlands, the deer park and open lakes. Plus, there are two purpose-built play areas for the children – one for under 10s and a more challenging Climbing Forest for the over 8s with cargo nets and climbing posts.

Coventry Cathedral

The Cathedral Church of Saint Michael, known as Coventry Cathedral, is the seat of the Bishop of Coventry and the Diocese of Coventry within the Church of England.

Much of the original Cathedral has been rebuilt after it was destroyed in the Coventry Blitz during WW2 and The Ruins are now recognised as an international symbol of peace. The New Cathedral features works by some of the greatest artists of the 1950s and 1960s

Coventry Transport Museum

Coventry Transport Museum is a must-visit attraction, showcasing some of the finest motor engineering and craftsmanship from the last two centuries. It houses the largest publicly owned collection of British vehicles on the planet and tells the story of a city which changed the world through transport.

With 14 fully accessible galleries and a collection of over 300 vehicles, including pioneering bicycles, planes, motorcycles, you’ll be captivated by this journey through the past.

 Belgrade Theatre

The Belgrade Theatre is the largest professional theatre in Coventry, which hosts award-winning productions and aims to entertain, inspire and shares Coventry’s stories.

Built in 1958 as part of the reconstruction of Coventry after World War II, it showcases a wide range of productions, including musicals, plays, and comedy shows.

The theatre also has a number of educational programmes and workshops for children and adults.
