Camping and Go Ape – The Perfect Forest Getaway

At Go Ape, we’re all about living life adventurously, and what better way to do that than turning your visit into a full weekend in the wild? Many of our locations are surrounded by incredible campsites, glamping spots and forest lodges — perfect for families, friends or couples looking to escape the everyday.

From peaceful woodland pitches to family-friendly glamping pods, there’s something for everyone. Imagine starting your morning with fresh air, a coffee brewed on the camp stove, and the excitement of zip lines and tree top crossings waiting just minutes away.

If you love the great outdoors but still want your creature comforts, many nearby campsites offer hot showers, cosy fire pits and even ready-pitched bell tents. Prefer something with a touch of luxury? You’ll find cabins, lodges and Forest Holidays stays close to several Go Ape sites — including Peebles, our newest Scottish adventure spot!

We’re lucky to share the forest with our friends at Forestry England, who manage some of the UK’s most beautiful woodland and offer incredible places to camp. Their campsites are set in stunning natural surroundings, with everything from simple tent pitches to glamping options.

You’ll find Forestry England campsites near several of our Go Ape adventures, making it easy to combine your stay with a day of tree top thrills. Whether you’re exploring Thetford Forest, Delamere, or Sherwood Pines, you can sleep under the canopy, wake up surrounded by nature, and walk straight to your Go Ape course.

It’s the perfect way to make your adventure last a little longer — less rushing home, more roasting marshmallows.
