Across our high ropes and zip line adventures, we use two safety systems: Continuous Belay and Self Belay. Each one is designed to give you total confidence in the trees, whether you’re a first-timer, a family of explorers or a seasoned thrill-seeker.

Our Continuous Belay system keeps you connected from start to finish. You’ll clip onto the safety line with a special trolley that only attaches and detaches on the ground — so once you’re up there, you stay secure the whole time. You’ll find this system on all Treetop Adventure, Treetop Adventure Plus, and Treetop Challenge Xpress courses — it’s simple, safe, and ideal for younger adventurers and families.

Our Self Belay system gives you a bit more freedom. As you move through the course, you’ll clip and unclip two safety lines yourself, making sure one always stays attached. This system is used on our Zip Line Experience, Challenge Plus, Zip Trekking Adventure and some of Treetop Challenge courses, and it’s perfect for those who want a little extra challenge and independence.

Our classic Treetop Challenge includes both systems, depending on the location. The safety setup also affects the age limits and supervision requirements, so before you book, check the course page for full details on what applies at your chosen site.
