Driving Directions

Bedgebury Forest is well signposted from the A21 via the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), around 12 miles southeast of Tunbridge Wells and 16 miles northwest of Hastings. When you reach the B2079, follow the brown tourist signs for Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest.

If you’re approaching from Goudhurst along the B2079 (Lady Oak Lane), follow the Forestry England signage for Go Ape.

We’re located within the Bedgebury Forestry England site. Please note that the postcode covers a large area, so some sat navs may take you to the wrong place. We recommend using What3Words for the most accurate directions. If you do use the postcode, double-check your route before setting off.

Go Ape is tucked away up a hill — keep an eye out for our signs as you get closer!

Parking

Parking is available on site and must be paid for on arrival.

Up to 1 hour: £4 1–2 hours: £8 2–3 hours: £11.50 Over 3 hours: £14.50

Your parking ticket also gives you access to the pinetum, cycle trails, adventure play areas, mountain bike routes, and scenic forest walks — perfect for making a full day of it.

Public Transport

Etchingham is the closest station to Bedgebury, about a 45-minute cycle ride up the A21 (there’s a footpath along the edge of the northbound carriageway). The nearest bus stop is Flimwell Corner Farm (near the Flimwell crossroad).

What to wear and bring

Dress for fun in the forest! Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no heels, slip-ons, flip-flops or Crocs (they might be comfy, but they're not adventure-proof). Keep your midriff covered so your harness sits over clothing, and tie back long hair — we don't want it catching in the treetops.

Oh, and trust us on this one — don't wear white. The forest floor has a sense of humour, and it doesn't play nicely with laundry day. Our adventures are great in all weathers, as long as you're prepared!

Our blog covers what to wear in every season and what to bring for a brilliant day out.
