Sat nav to our locations is not always accurate. Please check your route before setting off and cross-reference with a map.

Driving Directions

Dalby Forest can be reached from either the A169 Pickering to Whitby Road (turning right at the Fox and Rabbit pub YO18 7NQ) or the A170 via Thornton Le Dale (turning left at the Buck Inn after lights). Follow the brown tourist signs for Dalby The Great Yorkshire Forest. The A64 Leeds to Scarborough can get very busy on weekends and holidays, you may need to leave extra time.

Public Transport

The nearest train station is Malton, 14 miles or a 25-minute drive away. Get direct trains to Malton from York or Leeds. The Coastliner bus stops in Malton, Pickering and Thornton, and runs from Leeds to Whitby.

What to wear and bring

Dress for fun in the forest! Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no heels, slip-ons, flip-flops or Crocs (they might be comfy, but they're not adventure-proof). Keep your midriff covered so your harness sits over clothing, and tie back long hair — we don't want it catching in the treetops.

Oh, and trust us on this one — don't wear white. The forest floor has a sense of humour, and it doesn't play nicely with laundry day. Our adventures are great in all weathers, as long as you're prepared!

Our blog covers what to wear in every season and what to bring for a brilliant day out.

The main paths around site are uneven and the course is set across a large valley with steep hills. Paths are made largely from woodchip or gravel. However, some areas close to the cabin are largely flat. Wheelchairs and pushchairs can access spectator areas around the cabin, Treetop Adventure and the training areas of Treetop Challenge, but this may become more difficult in wet weather. If you have any specific accessibility requirements please contact us ahead of your visit so we can help. You can also find more information on Foresty England's website.

Yes, we have parking next to the cabin although this can fill up very quickly. More parking spaces can be found next to the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre and in the overflow car park a 5 minute walk around the corner. Parking can be paid at a nearby parking metre or at the barrier upon exiting the forest, for more information please visit Foresty England's website.

Yes, we have boxes for smaller items and space for bags and larger items around the back. All items are left at your own risk and we would encourage bigger items to be left in vehicles if you arrive by car.

Toilets are available at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, a two minute walk across the road from our cabin. There are no toilets directly on site so please leave enough time to head down to the Visitor Centre before your trip.
