Please aim to arrive twenty minutes before your booking and check in at our cabin first thing. Dalby Forest can be reached from either the A169 Pickering to Whitby Road (turning right at the Fox and Rabbit pub YO18 7NQ) or the A170 via Thornton Le Dale (turning left at the Buck Inn after lights). Follow the brown tourist signs for Dalby The Great Yorkshire Forest. The A64 Leeds to Scarborough can get very busy on weekends and holidays, you may need to leave extra time.
The nearest train station is Malton, 14 miles or a 25-minute drive away. Get direct trains to Malton from York or Leeds. The Coastliner bus stops in Malton, Pickering and Thornton, and runs from Leeds to Whitby.
What to wear and bring
Dress for fun in the forest! Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no heels, slip-ons, flip-flops or Crocs (they might be comfy, but they're not adventure-proof). Keep your midriff covered so your harness sits over clothing, and tie back long hair — we don't want it catching in the treetops.
Oh, and trust us on this one — don't wear white. The forest floor has a sense of humour, and it doesn't play nicely with laundry day. Our adventures are great in all weathers, as long as you're prepared!
