Get Directions

Sat nav to our locations is not always accurate. Please check your route before setting off and cross-reference with a map.

Driving Directions

The main vehicle entrance is King’s Gate at Dalkeith Country Park, use postcode EH22 1ST to find it. Our car park is a further 1.5 miles along the drive. Use EH22 2NA to find our cabin, but only after arriving at the park – it will take you to the wrong entrance.

Public Transport

The nearest train station is Eskbank, a 30-minute walk from Dalkeith Country Park, or a 10-minute bus (number 46). There is also a direct 40-minute bus (number 3) from Princes Street (near Edinburgh Waverley train station) to just outside Dalkeith Country Park (a 10-minute walk away). Our cabin is a 10-minute walk from the park entrance. Princes Street can be reached by bus or tram.

What to wear and bring

Dress for fun in the forest! Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no heels, slip-ons, flip-flops or Crocs (they might be comfy, but they're not adventure-proof). Keep your midriff covered so your harness sits over clothing, and tie back long hair — we don't want it catching in the treetops.

Oh, and trust us on this one — don't wear white. The forest floor has a sense of humour, and it doesn't play nicely with laundry day. Our adventures are great in all weathers, as long as you're prepared!

Our blog covers what to wear in every season and what to bring for a brilliant day out.
