We recommend booking ahead online, though you can try at our cabin on the day. Make sure to check the activity’s requirements first, including age restrictions and supervision ratios. Please aim to arrive twenty minutes before your booking and check in at our cabin first thing. You can save time by having your group sign their Risk Acknowledgement beforehand, check your inbox for the link.

Our closest town is Peebles. From there, follow the A72 towards Galashiels for 1.5 miles, and the entrance for Glentress is signposted to the left-hand side.
From the west or north: You can get to Peebles using the A72 or the A703 from Edinburgh.
From the south: Leave the M74 at Junction 15 (Moffat) and take the A701 towards Edinburgh. At Broughton, take the B712 on the right, which joins the A72 (turn right) and head into Peebles.
From the east: Take the A72 towards Peebles. After the village of Cardrona (and MacDonald Hotel), the entrance for Glentress is signposted to the right.
The X62 bus from Edinburgh to Galashiels stops a fifteen-minute walk away. Ask for ‘Glentress’ rather than ‘Peebles’ which is three miles away.
What to wear and bring
Dress for fun in the forest! Closed, sturdy shoes are a must — no heels, slip-ons, flip-flops or Crocs (they might be comfy, but they're not adventure-proof). Keep your midriff covered so your harness sits over clothing, and tie back long hair — we don't want it catching in the treetops.
Oh, and trust us on this one — don't wear white. The forest floor has a sense of humour, and it doesn't play nicely with laundry day. Our adventures are great in all weathers, as long as you're prepared!

Yes dog are allowed throughout Glentress Forest. Both cafes in the forest are dog friendly.
Yes there are two cafes within the forest. The Peel Café is the first you reach when you enter the forest and is about a 15 minute walk back down the hill from the Go Ape cabin. The Forest Holidays Retreat is located at the top of the forest and is a 10 minute drive.
At the main hub area there are accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. You can find more information on Forestry and Land Scotland's website.
There are accessible trails leading from the visitor centre which are all waymarked. Our course is built into a steep hill so is not wheelchair accessible. Pushchairs can access some of the course but the steep and uneven terrain make it quite challenging. If you have any specific accessibility requirements please contact us ahead of your visit so we can help. You can also find more information on Forestry and Land Scotland's website.
Yes, the Go Ape car park is up the hill from the main Glentress Forest car park. Our car park is right next the cabin.
We have space for small items at the cabin, but storage is not secure, so belongings are left at your own risk. We recommend bringing as little as possible.
There are toilets right next to our cabin.
Go Ape Peebles is in Glentress Forest, about 40 minutes south of Edinburgh. Easily accessible from the A72.
