For the safety of both mother and child, Go Ape strongly recommends that pregnant women do not take part in our adventures.
Our adventures are robust physical activities involving climbing, balancing, and zipping, which naturally carry a degree of risk. While we don't want to be discriminatory, we are not medical experts.
We strongly encourage you to seek advice from your doctor before deciding to participate.
If, after consulting your doctor, you choose to proceed, we will require you to formally declare your pregnancy to a staff member and sign a specific disclaimer acknowledging that:
"I have made Go Ape aware that I am pregnant and, as a result, Go Ape has recommended that I do not take part on the course. However, I have decided to take part on the course in the full knowledge that this may incur risks to my unborn child."
We want you to have a safe and wonderful experience, so please prioritise medical advice when making this decision!
A torch will be helpful for making your way from the car park to the cabin and for making your way to the toilets. It does not need to be a head torch, the torch on your phone will suffice. You will not be required to use it on the course.
We have produced this handy guide on staying safe at Go Ape in hot weather. Please have a read through to prepare for your adventure.
Go Ape is an excellent wet weather activity. Our courses are substantially sheltered from rain and wind by the trees themselves so as long as you are appropriately dressed for the weather you should still have great memories of your experience. The course remains open in all weathers, except thick ice, thunderstorms and gales. Rain makes the course muddier than usual which can add to the fun, but you might want dry clothes to change into for the journey home.
If we have to close for unsafe weather conditions, we will offer you a refund, credit note or reschedule your booking. If unsafe weather is forecasted we will aim to make the decision as early as possible, and will do our best to contact you to try and save you a wasted journey.
Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on-site and must be kept on leads. Please note that dogs are not able to join you on the course so you will need a spectator to look after them.
Our cafe is dog-friendly so well behaved dogs are welcome inside.
Moors Valley boasts a delightful array of places to eat and drink. Cafe, kiosks, ice cream - we have it covered. See Moors Valley's website for more information, including about their gift shop.
Moors Valley has specialist accessible toilets and baby changing facilities, find out more on Moors Valley's website.
Some paths are accessible but many are woodchip paths that wheelchair users can find difficult. If you have any specific accessibility requirements please contact us ahead of your visit so we can help. Moors Valley operate the Countryside Mobility Scheme and when registered, Mobility scooters can be hired that can negotiate almost all of our paths. Find out more on Moors Valley's website.
Yes, parking is available. Variable charges apply and you pay at the end of your visit. For details and current charges visit Moors Valley’s website. We recommend arriving early during peak times to ensure you have time to park and relax before your session.
We have space for small items at the cabin, but storage is not secure, so belongings are left at your own risk. We recommend bringing as little as possible.
Toilets are located in the visitor centre, less than a two-minute walk from our activities.
Go Ape Moors Valley is located on the Hampshire and Dorset border, just above the south coast's vibrant Bournemouth Seaside Resort, between the stunning New Forest National Park and the iconic Jurassic Coast world heritage site. It's easily accessible from the A31.
Treetop Dates is a special Valentine’s Day high ropes experience for adults — designed to be a romantic (or fun for friends) outdoor adventure in the trees. You’ll balance, climb, swing and laugh together while navigating the course, with additional course features to celebrate Valentine's Day.
This experience is exclusive to our Battersea Park and Moors Valley locations.
It’s only available 13th–14th February for Valentine’s Day 2026 — a two-day limited event.
A high ropes adventure in the trees after dark, beautifully lit with subtle red lighting, plus additional thematic course elements. A heart-shaped carabiner souvenir for each couple and a certificate.
The adventure lasts about 1 hour on the course, but please allow an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour for the complete experience which will include check-in, harnessing, safety briefing and celebration.
No — Treetop Dates is designed for adults of varying experience levels, but you should be comfortable with outdoor physical activity and bring your sense of fun and adventure. Standard Go Ape safety briefings and guidance are provided.
⦁ Make sure you wear suitable clothing for an outdoor adventure that you don't mind getting a bit grubby. Sturdy shoes with a closed toe and heel are required. ⦁ We recommend wearing gloves. Bring your own or pick some up from the cabin. ⦁ Weather can affect your experience — courses run in most conditions but may close if unsafe. ⦁ Arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in and safety briefing.
