Sundown Adventures FAQs

Is it suitable for kids?

Yes, it’s a great adventure for kids over 6 years old and over 1.2 metres tall.

Are toilets and parking available in the evening?

Yes, facilities and parking are available. Please check here for parking details.

Do I need to bring a torch?

You don’t need a torch during the activity, but we recommend one for the trip to and from the entrance to our cabin (the torch on your phone will be fine).

What should I wear?

Make sure to wear comfortable clothes you can move about in (and don’t mind getting a little grubby). We recommend layers, waterproofs and puddle-proof shoes (and perhaps a change of clothes for afterwards). If it’s raining, it does tend to be a bit muddier.

What happens in bad weather?

Go Ape is an excellent wet-weather activity. Our courses are substantially sheltered from rain and wind by the trees themselves. As long as you’re dressed for the weather, you should still have a great time.

We’ll stay open except for thick ice, thunderstorms and gales. If we have to close due to unsafe weather conditions, we’ll offer you a refund, credit note or reschedule your booking. If unsafe weather is forecast, we’ll aim to make the decision as early as possible and do our best to contact you to save you a wasted journey.

Is the experience scarier than during the day?

Sundown Adventures aims to add more thrills rather than fear. If you enjoy our courses during the day, you’ll love them after hours! The forest feels different in the evening—quieter, more atmospheric—which adds a whole new layer to our usual adventures.

The course itself is the same as the daytime, and our instructors are on hand throughout to support you. If you’re confident on our courses in the day, you’ll be just fine at night.

Which high ropes course is Sundown Adventures on?

Our Sundown Adventures take place on our Treetop Adventure Plus course. This offers the perfect amount of after-dark thrills, with 1 hour of illuminated high ropes fun (allow for 2 hours for the safety briefing, harnessing and deharnessing) and our continuous belay safety system.
