Adults must supervise children between the ages of 10 to 15 years old.
One adult (18+) can supervise 2 children aged 10 to 15 and must participate in the activity.
Adults (18+) cannot simultaneously supervise children participating in Treetop Challenge and other high ropes activities such as Treetop Adventure and Treetop Adventure Plus.

Yes, well-behaved dogs are welcome on-site and must be kept on leads. Please note that dogs are not able to join you on the course and need a spectator to look after them.
Great house barn cafe serves hot food, drinks and snacks, and is located just across the car park from our cabin!
Baby-changing facilities and accessible toilets are available in the toilet block at the visitor centre.
The main paths around the site are gravel and uneven and steep in places. Wheelchairs and pushchairs can access the cabin and spectator areas. However, some woodlands paths may be challenging, especially in wet weather. If you have any specific accessibility needs, please contact us before your visit so we can help.
Yes, parking is available at Rivington. Parking is free. We recommend arriving early during peak times.
We have space for small items at the cabin, but storage is not secure, so belongings are left at your own risk. We recommend bringing as little as possible.
Toilets are available at the visitor centre, just a short walk from our cabin. There are no toilets out on the course, so we recommend using them before starting your activity.
Go Ape Rivington is tucked away in Horwich, right in the middle of the towns of Chorley and Bolton, and about 30 minutes from Manchester. Approaching from the direction of Chorley, Rivington is well signposted. Approaching from Manchester, the South, Preston and Lancaster use the M61. Come off at Junction 6 and follow the signs to Horwich. Stay on the main road through Horwich and once you reach The Crown Pub roundabout, go straight ahead and take the right turn immediately after onto Lever Park Avenue with signs to Rivington. Follow Lever Park Avenue for about a mile and turn left at the Great House Barn Car Park. Our cabin is straight ahead.
