practical information

  • Got there on time at 12:00, had the safety briefing. Then got into the trees. I felt safe as the staff kept a careful eye on us to start with, checking that we were safe and happy. After that we saw them occasionally patrolling around below us. After about an hour one of them wanted to check my harness was still fitted correctly. I was with 2 children 15 and 10 years old, We all really enjoyed it but by the time we had gone all the way around ( 4.15 hours later ) my arms were starting to ache, My children would happily have gone around again if they could. BUT, Did not like the fact we had to pay extra to park the car.

  • Pushed us all outside our comfort zones but so much fun. Definitely recommend.

  • Good all round fun. Allocate about 3 hours of time. I went along with my 2 children, 11 and 16 years. We chose the extreme challenges which were manageable but a good physical test, if a bit of a more mature person like myself. Also, found my hands were sore by the end of the course due to the climbing and gripping of ropes, ladders etc so may be worth considering wearing gloves with grip. Great to do an activity the family can enjoy together.

  • We had a day out with the team at Wendover Woods. It's fair to say that some of the team were somewhat skeptical about the day when we first mentioned Go Ape! The safety briefing and introduction reassured them a little, but they were still pretty nervous when we started the day. The team overcame their fears throughout the day, and all of them completed the course - and all feeling pretty proud of themselves! The whloe session was run brilliantly, and whilst there's a degree of danger doing something like this, it's such a great thrill and achievement when you look back on what you conquered. We all had a brilliant day out!

  • What a great adventure! I had two 11 yr olds with me and we all managed the entire course, overcoming physical and mental challenges and fears, with real fun along the way. The induction was really comprehensive and they saw us through the first two sites (5 in all). The weather was awful but it was still doable. Come prepared for such weather! We did take longer than the website suggested so be prepared for that also. Would thoroughly recommend.

  • The training was excellent and I felt very safe throughout the adventure. The trainer, Ella was a very good communicator and was very clear. The various walkways, Tarzan swings and zip wires were nicely scary so I felt very good about myself for having tackled them. We had plenty of time and I thoroughly enjoyed it
