Our Adventure Stories Competition returns!

Our highly anticipated annual creative competition is back for the fourth year running.

We are asking all children aged between 4-12 to get creative and explore adventure both in and out of the classroom - and then share those adventures with us to win some amazing prizes!

We are inviting children and schools to enter their short stories (100-500 words) OR an A4 drawing about an amazing adventure they have been on or imagined. The more creative the better!

Over the past three years, we have been on a trip to an alien-infested planet, gotten lost in a faraway forest and uncovered treasure and dinosaur bones on a beautiful beach. It's been quite the journey!

Win some amazing prizes

We are working with some amazing partners this year, meaning children can win some great prizes for themselves and their class!

Prizes include

  • A Go Ape Class trip for the winners of the overall category
  • A Bundle of books for your school class worth £150 from Scholastic Book Fairs!
  • A Micro Scooter for the winning child!
  • A Go Ape adventure for the winning child and their family!

How to enter!

It's time for children to get those creative juices flowing and showcase some amazing adventures. Our only rule is that it must be either a story between 100-500 words or a drawing of an adventure on A4 paper.

So maybe you have recently been on an awesome adventure with your friends of family and you think that it would make a great story. Perhaps you dreamt of an adventure one night and woke up thinking "wow, I want to do that!". It could even be that your mum, nan or uncle once told you about a super cool adventure they went on when they were younger, and you've never forgotten it!

Make your story fact, make it fiction, make it a combo of the two, just remember to make it as adventure filled as possible! We're not talking about a sprinkling of adventure; we mean a compete and utter soaking of the stuff on paper!

The details

Entries are officiallly open! Just head to the adventure stories page where you can upload your short story or picture. You can also find previous entries if you're in need of a little inspiration!

Adventures are to be uploaded between 5th March and 19th April 2020.

It's time to start getting creative!

Good Luck!
