Go Ape Gives over £19k to The Prince’s Trust

Go Ape donates 5% of Black Friday Weekend Revenue to The Prince’s Trust

This year Go Ape chose to do Black Friday differently, slashing their gift card prices by 20% whilst also donating 5% of the Gift Card revenue to their National Charity, The Prince’s Trust, which totalled over £19,000! This money will be used to directly impact young people’s lives, helping them to get into jobs education and training.

In June 2021, Go Ape launched their two-year national charity partnership with the award-winning charity, The Prince’s Trust. Together Go Ape and The Prince’s Trust have drawn upon their employability expertise and outdoor adventure knowledge to support young people in a time that they need help more than ever.

Go Ape initially promised to raise and match fund £30k within their first year of partnership but it is expected to smash this target! With over £19k raised over the Black Friday weekend as well as other fundraising activities throughout 2021, they expect to handover more than £70k!

Director of Marketing, Jo O’Boyle, said, “In a season all about gifting things we’re proud to evolve our Black Friday promotion to give back to those in need through our charity partnership with the Prince’s Trust.”

Corporate Partnerships Fundraising Executive, Olida Khanom from The Prince’s Trust also added, “Thank you to Go Ape and all their customers for the incredible support they gave us this Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Go Ape's donation of 5% of their Black Friday Gift Card revenue raised thousands of pounds for The Prince's Trust, which will allow us to help young people across the UK transform their lives through our free courses in employment, education and enterprise.

We look forward to continuing our exciting partnership with Go Ape and working together to give more disadvantaged young people the opportunity to create better futures.”
