Treetop Challenge
Bucket list experience for teens and adults
Our original high ropes courses are made up of multiple sites or loops that wind their way through the canopy. Each finishes with a thrilling zip wire ride back to the ground.
Each forest location is unique so you'll find zip wires of all lengths and heights at Go Ape. Pick your Go Ape location, then Treetop Challange and discover the important stats in the 'Adventure Overview' section of the page.
Selected locations only; check out Treetop Challenge Xpress for a shorter experience, or Challenge Plus to take on harder crossings.
Participants must be 1.4m tall, and at our locations using a self belay safety system participants must also be over 10 years.
Treetop Adventure
Fun for young families
Our high ropes experience for young families, designed for children to take their first steps into the tree tops and have a go at zip lining.
The course is made up of multiple loops, starting with easier crossings to build confidence, then adding wobble to test your skills.
Each loop finishes with a zip wire ride back to Earth, often described as the 'best bit' when the young heroes are returning their harness and collecting their certificate and sticker.
Zip wires are staffed by Go Ape instructors to ensure safe departure and to support children (and their grown-ups) that need some extra encouragement.
Participants must be 1m tall, no minimum age.
Treetop Adventure Plus
Great for Primary Aged Children
An extension to Treetop Adventure, this experience includes access to additional loops of the course with more height, tricker crossings, and an even longer zip wire.
The tree top fun begins on the Treetop Adventure course, where youngsters can ride their first zip wire under the supervision of a Go Ape instructor.
Once confident they can explore the Treetop Adventure Plus loops to really test their skills and experience the thrill of a longer zip wire.
Participants must be 1.2m tall, minimum age 6 years.
Zip trekking Adventure
The Uk's longest network of zip wires
The most unmissable zip wire experience in the UK, Zip Trekking is exclusive to Go Ape Grizedale in the Lake District.
After a short 15-minute walk through the epic landscape, your ultimate zip wire experience consists of 3km of dual zip lines. This means you'll be soaring side-by-side with your adventure buddy the whole way down.
Expect fun, games and memories to last a lifetime from this zip wire adventure, which is instructor lead throughout.
Participants must be 1.4m tall, minimum age 13 years.
