Who is the activity for?
Designed with primary-school aged kids in mind, this experience suits everyone from younger ones to the young-at-heart. It’s open to children over 1 year old who can walk unaided. We regularly have toddlers who take part and have a great time, however, the experience may not be suitable when the course is occupied with lots of energetic older children. We endeavour to keep one tree top net to a more relaxed atmosphere, aiming for a safe and fun experience for toddlers. The first sessions in the morning, or last in the afternoon tend to be the quietest.
Under 6 years old
One adult (18+) can supervise 2 children aged 6 and under and must participate in the activity.
6-15 years old
One adult (18+) can supervise 5 children aged 6-15 years old from the course or on the ground.

This was my first ever Go Ape experience on my birthday at the rip old age of 47... the staff we encountered were friendly and put safety at the forefront of everything. Before moving off on our own we felt fully confident on what we were doing. The course was amazing as it started with a massive zip line and then with shaken knees and the adrenaline pumping we were off on our own. Thank you to the staff there and I look forward to our next visit

My daughter absolutely loves Go Ape in Chelmsford! The place is in a lovely, quiet area with parking right next to it. The staff are very friendly and make children feel comfortable and confident. They’re also very dog-friendly — they always greet my dog and offer him water.
We have an unlimited pass, and it’s definitely worth it. A great adventure for kids, with lots of exercise and being outdoors!
