things to do in bedgebury

Set in a Grade II listed landscape, you’ll find Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest on the Kent/Sussex border. We’re very proud to share the space with what is considered to be the largest and most complete collection of conifers in the world. With such a big reputation you can imagine that Bedgebury draws a global crowd.

There are 2,500 acres to explore. With three walking, three cycle (family and mountain-biking), plus four orienteering and running trails, you’re spoilt for choice.

Take the family on the play trail – while you enjoy the calming ambience of the forest, the children can clamber on the play furniture enroute. There’s lots for them to discover including the shipwreck, the mighty tree house and the giant spiders webs.

You can also take in the stunning Pinetum views with a picnic or while enjoying some refreshments at the Bedgebury café which serves a wide range of locally sourced food.

Would highly recommend! The instructors are friendly and seem to enjoy their job and there is also room to do things independently which is nice. Was a really good experience and I would do it again.

My husband accompanied our daughter on the junior course and she LOVED it. what an experience. Her confidence grew as she crossed each piece of equipment and the zip wire...well that was her favourite. Not so much the hubby's favourite but it gave me a good laugh to see his face. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Brilliant experience cant wait to go back. Highly recommended

My daughter loved her Go Ape session at Bedgebury. The last slot on a Sunday afternoon meant she had the whole thing largely to herself! Happy daughter but shivering parents watching in February!
