Haybrook College's Go Ape Adventure

We've loved welcoming school groups to our sites this Autumn and have been bowled over by the feedback we have recieved, so we thought it would be nice to share a little Q+A with you.

Introducing Haybrook College Trust.

Based in Slough, England - Haybrook College Trust provide a range of educational programmes catering for students of secondary age who are not able to access education through mainstream schools. (source:haybrookcollege.co.uk)

Haybrook wanted to bring a group of 11-14yr olds to help build up their confidence, leadership and teamwork. After speaking with our events co-ordinator Julie, they decided to come on the 12th October 2020 to experience the Treetop Challenge Xpress course.

What did Haybrook have to say about their Visit to Go Ape?

‘We had a fantastic time at Go Ape! Thank you for helping us organise this activity for our young people. We loved it and will definitely be back!’

What did you enjoy about your trip?

All of our group took part and conquered many fears about height.

Our young people were joyful and also helped each other with top tips on how to complete certain sections. It was a great team building and resilience opportunity.

Did our instructors help give you a great experience?

The instructors were patient with our young people and gave advice in how to complete the course well.

Is there anything you feel we could do better next time?

A quick overview for the group of what courses we were to complete during our sessions and how long our session was going to be. A little more guidance from your team as to where to go also.

Would you recommend Go Ape to a school /another Group?

YES!

Would you visit Go Ape again?

Yes, we will be visiting again!

Why we at Go Ape believe in the power of outdoors learning.

Our goal is to get children outdoors. Which is why we offer amazing educational days to encourage children to push themselves out of their comfort zone and try something new.

Heading into the great outdoors is known to be good for you - you get to enjoy fresh air, sunshine (sometimes) and let your mind wander. It's a natural stress reliever, plus our activity days are great for helping students overcome fears and build essential life skills, such as teamwork.

A huge thank you to Haybrook College Trust for visiting our Black Park location and for letting us share an insight into their day with you all!

If you would like to speak to a member of our Education team on how you too can plan a great educational day out with us, get in touch with a member of the team today.
