Bananas In A Harness - Crawley Bananathon
On Monday 9th May, our team at Go Ape Crawley are going to be hosting a very special ap-PEAL to raise money for The Outward Bound Trust.
A marathon with a difference
The instructors at Go Ape Crawley, inside Tilgate Park, will be taking on the challenge of walking the 26.5 miles from Crawley to the edge of Brighton Pier. As if walking the equivalent of a marathon wasn't enough, the team have decided to walk it in true Go Ape style, dressed up as giant Bananas!
The team of 17 Go Ape staff and instructors are setting off at 7am on Monday 9th May and will aim to be on the edge of Brighton Pier by 5pm. This is all in aid of our chosen charity of the year The Outward Bound Trust. The Outward Bound Trust is an educational charity that helps youths get out in the great outdoors, experience and overcome challenges, build self-esteem and forge a lifelong sense of adventure. Last year Go Ape raised £60,000 through our combined efforts and we are looking to beat that number this year.
Show your support
Through the blisters and the banana suit chafing that is sure to come their way, Go Ape Crawley have one goal in mind to help raise as much money as possible. You can support Go Ape Crawley's charity effort in one of two ways:
- Look out for the team of giant bananas walking from Crawley to Brighton on the day. They will be carrying donation buckets and any donation is greatly appreciated
- Donate directly to Go Ape Crawley's Virgin Giving page
