5 Reasons Axe Throwing Is the Ultimate Stress Reliever

We think Axe Throwing is the ultimate stress reliever, especially when you combine it with our stunning locations in parks and forests across the UK.

Our 5 reasons why Axe Throwing can relieve stress

  1. Getting moving
  2. Time outdoors
  3. Focus
  4. Confidence-building
  5. Bonding time

Getting moving

Getting moving and exercise is definitely one of the benefits of axe throwing. While we all know it’s skill over strength, it still requires good balance and will use your arm muscles. Plus, while you don’t need to hurl your axe at the target as hard as you can, you still get that cathartic release from the throw – especially when you get the target!

Time outdoors

Another one of the (many) reasons to try axe throwing is time outdoors. Our Axe Throwing lanes are set against beautiful backdrops of parks and trees. Nothing quite beats that fresh air feeling as you leave your worries behind and focus on that bullseye.

Focus

In fact, that focus on hitting the target is another why Axe Throwing should be on your list of stress relief activities. Get a break from other things on your mind as you take on the target each time, focusing on your breathing, your balance and the angle of your axe. What’s more, it’s some time away from screens too.

Confidence building

Our skilled instructors are great at giving tips and tricks so you slowly improve throughout the session. That feeling of accomplishment as you go from totally missing the target (ahem, some of us found it tricky at first!) to hitting that bullseye in the space of an hour will leave you feeling brilliantly buoyant.

Bonding time

While we never say no to a solo adventure, our Axe Throwing activity is particularly good for spending time together. Our Axe Throwing ranges have two lanes so you can be side-by-side as you take on the target. For larger groups, you can relax nearby and chat while you wait for your turn, making it a great combination of chill-out-time and axe-hurling-time.

Ready to try Axe Throwing for yourself? We have seven locations across the UK with 1-hour experiences starting from £18.95 per person (plus £3.95 to book).
